I found clear lenses for my corner markers, and I'm looking forward to getting them installed. I really liked the looks of the Hornet with clear/smoked lenses, and thought I'd try it out. Now that I've got the lenses, I need to get the amber bulbs. I pulled a rear bulb out and found that it's a 1037. But I can't find a bulb number on the front bulbs -- they're different from the rears. Anyone got information? Thanx!

Okay, fellas, I figured it out. I took one front bulb and one rear out and tripped over to the local auto parts store. I found a two-pack of 1156A and a two-pack of 2357NA, each for about two bucks.

Here are a couple of links for general info on these bulbs:
(Front) 1156A --> http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/1156a.html
(Rear) 2357NA --> http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/2357na.html

I'll try to get some before-and-after pics with the new lenses posted later in the weekend.

If you buy lenses they will come with the amber bulbs.

Just be sure to look at the bulb. The front ones may have two metal thingies on the bottom while the rear ones will have one metal thingy.

Don't make the mistake of putting the rear in the front or the front in the rear.

Agreed. I would guess the fronts are dual filament bulbs since they act as both a running light and a turn signal. Whereas the rears are a single filament bulb.

I came up with lenses only, so I had to do some parts-store surfing to find correct bulbs. You can't mix the front/rear bulbs, as the bases have different pin arrangements -- one has the pins at the same elevation (relative to the "bottom" of the bulb), and the other has the pins at different elevations -- the sockets are keyed to accept these pin arrangements. The uneven one did cause a little confusion :banghead before I was aware of the pins -- had a heck of a time getting it to go into its own socket (had it rotated 180 degrees).

Didn't get photos today -- ran out of daylight.

i got the clears from clearalternatives.com and ordered some amber LEDs from another site, love em bright as all get out and personally i like the fast flash due to the difference in resistance of the LEDs! they grab attention of the blind people on the road!
