I'm not sure if I'm reading the manual correctly for this adjustment. The manual says to do it in sequence (1-2-3-4-5-6-7) and vice versa. Do they mean I should crank it down to 1 then up to the desired number?

It's weird because it says not to jump from 1-7. I'd like to know exactly how one would accomplish that! You're lucky to get the one click at a time with the spanner provided in the Honda toolkit.

I just adjusted it one click at a time to what I thought I needed. Now I need to go down one more, I ended up one click higher than what I think it should be.

Thanks!

The tool kit comes with an extension bar for the preload wrench...I have mine on the lowest preload it matches up with the fork perfect, but then again my riding weight is 160# at most.

Yes. I understand that part. Heck, try doing it w/o the extension on the spanner. It can be done, but it's a lot of work to do it w/o the extension.

You're a buck sixty and have it on #1? Huh. Interesting. I thought at my weight - ~210 fully geared, that it should be set to the #4 pos. I set it to #5. WAY to stiff at that setting. Wheel hop is NO fun. :crazy
