Wanted to share one pic of my 04' Hornet. From front lawn with Smoky Mountains National Park in the background (The peak is Mt LeConte). The avatar may be a pic on Hwy129 going to Deals Gap.
lytew8 10-24-2006, 11:44 PM Looks real nice, I gotta clean mine before storage very soon.
Hoping to make it look that clean :)
rndthought 10-29-2006, 09:22 PM Nice, I'm gonna get up there with the bike someday...
And tomacana, what's up with your head gear in the avatar - looks like a medieval Knight's helmet...?
tomacana 10-31-2006, 07:39 PM Give me a heads up and I should be able to ride a few days while you are up here. I know quite a few good routes.
The avatar was taked by the Deal's Gap people and posted on Zee Photo. It is low resolution unless one desires to order qualty photos, coffee cups, t-hirts,etc
My helmet in solid flat black Fulmer. I have a black reflector DOT tape on the face shield for use as a sun shade.
Good riding,
Tom

Gee sounds so commercial...makes me wonder about even going...cool shots thought!
Tom, thanks for the offer that you wil regret! No, just kidding...not. wink.
Seems there are quite a few in the area around there, maybe more could get to gether...Humm...
Dude...never wonder about going to The Gap. It is a little commercialized, but not bad at all. I've been going about twice a year for the past few years and it's always been a blast. Personally i almost like the roads going to and from the Gap as much as i do the Gap itself. They're much faster and absolutely beautiful. There are a couple of outfits that make their living by taking photos of you as you go through, but they're completely non intrusive if you don't care about that kind of thing, but pretty handy of you like some good action shots of you having some fun in or on your ride.
tomacana 11-01-2006, 05:01 PM jmd,,,,Your're right on about the dragon. Much better rides throughout the area. I like the open country rides where you can see out in the distance but still a shortage of staight aways.
That last ride was on Sept 15 and I had the road to myself. I did not overtake anyone nor visa vers. I did meet some oncoming traffic (mostly Harleys). There was a Harley rally in Cherokee and Maggie Valley.
The best part of Deals Gap is having lunch and seeing all the bikes come and go. Tremendious variety.
roost77 02-16-2007, 05:46 PM i have to agree, you never know what you're gonna see sitting at the store and watching people come and go- i actually like riding the cherohala(skyway) a little more.heck tom, i'm right around the corner from you in fabulous blount county!
tomacana 02-16-2007, 06:28 PM Welcome aboard, Roost.
We definitely need to get a spring ride together. I like to ride toward Maryville on MartinMill Pike and back roads in that area.
What do you ride and how long?
roost77 02-16-2007, 09:20 PM i ride an 04 asphalt blk 599-leo vince SBK slip on,renthal streetfighter bars, integrated rear signals, pilot power shoes. tomacana 05-09-2007, 08:34 PM I went for a nice spring ride today and took the camera. I love the spring colors and the cool temps. Warm enough to wear the mesh jacket.

The pics are along the TN route. I went into the Mtns of North Carolina but didn't stop to take photos in NC. The trip took 5 hours and covered 275 miles through the hills and hollars (that's 1,925 iron butt miles).
The picture below, on Bogart Road is from my Feb Ride

tomacana 05-10-2007, 03:27 PM Hey Guys,
How can I get Alex off back? Treats me like a step child. I barely have time to ride cause I have to constantly edit my posts and replys. :D
Oh yeah, I have to take a camera with me when I go for a ride and take pictures (to document the ride) and then get slammed about braggin'.
Any help would be appreciated. Now I know that I can always 'toe the line', 'dot my i's, mind my p's and q's, etc. but that's what my 'spouse' makes me do at home.
Sachi 05-10-2007, 04:03 PM  You're married to Alex?
Isn't that bigamy?
tomacana 05-10-2007, 06:22 PM No sympathy in this forum.
Kidding aside, Alex has did a good job with the forum and continues to do so.
rndthought 05-11-2007, 09:44 AM I think the “mot du jour” is Polyamory...or some BS like that  (Tom, what does your 599 think of this whole “wife” thing you got going on??? Any jealousy there? )
You are on now on warning Tom...keep it up and I will get on my bike, come up there and straighten you out myself... your continuous and wanton taunting of the good but disadvantaged members of this board can not be allowed to continue unabated...
Diablo 3 Rear on back dock (thought I’d give it a try...)...next, service check-up and tire mount.
tomacana 05-11-2007, 05:57 PM Envy raises it's ugly head. :tomato
Lance, what make you happy. Is this you:?:
HAPPINESS, n.
An agreeable sensation arising from contemplating the misery of another.
rndthought 05-13-2007, 12:37 PM BINGO! Misery loves company!
