I'd like to start a thread where people can post up what suspension settings they prefer for their bikes so that others can reference them and maybe help get a second opinion or ideas for how they'd like to adjust theirs.

So if you could just post up with your bike year, model, type suspension (stock or other), rider weight and type of riding (track, spirited street, cruising street, etc) and then finish with where you have your suspension set and what you like about it. I think this would help give others some good ideas on how they might change things up and what settings have worked for other people (like me  ). I'll start.
----------------------------------------------------
2005 Honda 919
Stock
~150lbs
average street riding (so far... )
Front suspension: stock preload (4 threads showing), stock damping (1 turn back from full firm)
Rear suspension: stock preload (spring position 2), stock damping (1 turn back from full firm)

I've just started riding this bike, so i haven't messed with anything until i get to know the bike and feel it out in different situations. The rear seems slightly firm for my weight, but i'm going to wait until i work up to doing some spirited riding before i soften anything up.

Note: Rear Preload spring setting: 1 = full soft / 7 = full firm

Anyone else?

04 599, Stock- unable to adjust the front...

but the Preload for the rear is at 0, (the lowest setting?) i'm about 150lbs, I realize it's a really soft setting but i fiddled around with it and 2 is a little too stiff (feel lot of the road) ... and by keeping it 0 (since i'm 5'4") it gives it a little lower ride height it seems. and not to mention it's a much smoother ride... not much vibration when on the freeway.

damn we're all scrowny fellows ain't we

~150lbs riding weight
06' 599
front have it so the triple is set as low down the fork as possible (only about 10mm or so of adjustment) found it to be more agile in the twisties
softest on rear
regular street

stock (2clicks) was too firm. It feels great right now

edit:
also notice that softest was too soft for the twisties but is great for just average street riding, I'll have to figure out what to set it at for the twisties

240ish with gear. Riding at setting 4 I think. I basically took the maximum rated load of the bike, divided by 7 and took the result and put it there. It was on 6 when I got it which was rough as hell.
