Thanks rndthought 10-31-2006, 08:25 PM Alex, can we have a stiky fer this.... lo39cal 10-31-2006, 10:23 PM sticky... for sure D'lo, try going to "photobucket". it's a image/video posting site. after you've started a free account and uploaded your pictures, they give you the url address and also the image address.right click/copy on the image address, so that when you post a thread/reply your pictures just show up on your post and does not give you a link. Alex 10-31-2006, 10:33 PM In short, put the picture up on a photo hosting service like photobucket.com and then use the image url like this: In a post window (like the one I'm typing into right now) type Image URL Here. Sooner than later I'll make it easy for you guys to upload and post images. antihero 11-01-2006, 05:37 AM Let's not get sticky-happy. I hate forums that have like 10 sticky threads you have to scroll down past to get to the new posts. That's why god invented the search feature. Alex 11-01-2006, 10:47 AM I know what you mean. I'll try to never exceed 2 sticky threads per category. rndthought 11-01-2006, 11:38 AM I know what you mean. I'll try to never exceed 2 sticky threads per category. A sticky post in the picture category about how to post pictures would seemingly be logical. antihero 11-01-2006, 11:54 AM A sticky post in the picture category about how to post pictures would seemingly be logical. True, I just started fearing the worst. I manage a similiar forum for a gaming clan and they have like 15 stickies at the top that nobody reads no matter how many "*** READ THIS NOW ***"s you put on them. I routinely have to go in and remove the sticky from half them every month. Alex 11-01-2006, 11:58 AM True and true... but when a lot of people are asking the same question, a sticky becomes a logical step. If lots of various questions come up and you find yourself with 10 stickies, that's when you create one sticky thread pointing people to all the other sticky threads that you've moved to their own special section. :nerd I don't know if you can actually follow what I just said... it's the information architect in me talking. Super Sneaky Steve 11-01-2006, 12:07 PM I think we need a sticky to explain what you just said Alex. | |
