antihero 11-27-2006, 06:32 PM Holy crap, a woman! haha, welcome to the forums. :welcome
Yes, it's a woman. Stop staring, antihero, and give her some space. (Women like it when you play it cool. Even better if you seem naturally intelligent and innocently complementary. Watch this... )
Asphalt horner, eh? Good choice. Too bad they only made it for a short while. I like the black, but having to choose between that and asphalt would have been a tough decision for sure.
(Then if you want to keep it going and strike up a dialogue you can ask a question that's easy to answer and very non-threatening. Such as...)
How long you been riding?
(That way you seem interested in her as a person without making her feel akward about being a woman, making her more comfortable around you and paving the way for some good 'get to know me' chats, in which you will inevitably make a fool of yourself but hope that by that time she's found something about you to like. Then, after you've made an impression, you can end it with a... )
Congrats on your first post. We hope to see you around more often.
(A proper or appropriate conclusion to any communique is key if you want her to think you socially adept and a gentleman. There...isn't that so much better than busting out with a one-liner? I hope you've learned somethere here... )

Hey, i didn't get married while i was still in college because i was desperate. Believe me...it works.
I wasn't really a 'lady's man' but my roommate was, and whenever he sees a girl he used to know she always asks about his roommate (me). Drove him crazy...
Super Sneaky Steve 11-28-2006, 10:40 AM Now that we have a girl in the room does that mean we have to stop making boobie threads? (see offtopic section)
Usually when I'm talking with a girl I just smile and nod and try not to get cought looking at her mommy bags.
"That sounds so interesting. I'll just listen" ZZZZzzzz Zzzzzz

NISxMO 11-28-2006, 02:35 PM I'd like to see some different wallpapers, maybe we should have a wallpaper contests with the glove contest, One with a black 599 would be nice
vthoky 11-28-2006, 06:28 PM Anybody notice we haven't heard from Hondagirl again. Hope we haven't scared her off.... :?

No, it doesn't.
In a world of "equality," there is no reason to act any different. When things get so uptight here that we can't make boobie threads...I'm finding another forum...not that anyone here would care...just saying so for the record.
Oh...almost forgot earlier...welcome to the forum Hondagirl...

Super Sneaky Steve 11-29-2006, 05:29 AM Awww, I'm just kidding around. I'm sure any girl who rides a bike is used to being around a bunch of guys.
I bet she just has a life away from her computer. Unlike most of us.

JBarx 11-08-2007, 08:02 PM Here is a wallpaper I made for myself. If you have a widescreen LCD monitor you're welcome to test it out (1680x1050). It incorporates a close-up photo, some logos, and some ghosted out schematic overlays.

Puma? :thinking
rndthought 11-09-2007, 03:36 PM Puma boots.
JBarx 11-09-2007, 04:16 PM Puma boots.
Ha. I wish. You know how much those things cost? Those Moto1000 boots are $400. Maybe someday I'll splurge when I have the skill to deserve them. Man they are sweet though.

I'm a huge Puma fan. I actually get 10% off Puma.com with a promo code for life because I sent them a pic of my collection of their shit. Yeah, I'm a tool. But it saves me a few bucks here and there. I had a buddy tell me a friend of his did something similar with another company so I thought I would give it a shot.
I used to be a Nike guy, but I grew up on Puma in the early 80's after it had run it's "cool phase" in the 70's so I got made fun of a lot in school. But my parents were kinda poor and Puma sneakers had gotten pretty cheap in the company's "dark ages" so that's what they bought me. Once I started working on my own I bought Nike stuff to be "cool", but over the years I started realizing that their gear sucks. It falls apart and is generally uncorfortable. Well, to me, at least. So I switched back and then Puma got kinda trendy again so I look like a putz, but what can ya do? I can't argue with the quality of their products. I dirty up their stuff to the point I have to retire it long before I can actually wear it out. I've never had a zipper or button or seam fail on anything I've ever owned from them.
Ironically, I don't even like soccer.
So... a further demonstration... As a general rule I don't believe in helmet stickers, but I had to make one exception:

Lame? Quite possibly. But I really don't care. Gotta represent. For the record, it's about 3" wide and the only decal on anything involving my motorcycle, or the bike itself. The silver vinyl graphic actually matches the Shoei logo so closely people think it's a factory embossing. Funny enough, I've had a couple people say "I didn't know Puma made helmets?" They don't. Trust me, if they did, I'd know about it.
I'm also working on getting some Honda gear so I'll have all the bases covered.
How about that for a long answer to a simple question? Basically, I'm a brand bitch.
JHenley17 11-09-2007, 04:44 PM Don't feel bad... I've been a Puma whore for about 4 years now... I bought a pair my sophomore year in high school and have loved everything Puma since...
Quality rips Nike a new one... I've got a pair of Air Maxes that I hardly ever wear with stitches ripping. One pair of Pumas I've had for about 3.5 years, now. I used to wear them daily to school, I used to run in them, wore them during my trip to Europe (lots and lots of walking), and I was wearing them when I crashed my bike. Still going strong.
