Super Sneaky Steve 11-21-2006, 04:25 PM Hey, looking good! It seems yellow is by far the fave color around here.
djamalt 11-21-2006, 04:56 PM Sweet ride you got there man. And yeah yellow seems to be getting a lot of press on this site. I'm still in love my gloss black beauty though.
mechanic77 11-21-2006, 10:25 PM Yeh I didnt use to like yellow but know I dont mind it so much looks great dude!!!!
Also still in love with my shiny black beauty 8)
Ba55man 11-22-2006, 08:38 AM Wowsers are those HUGE indicators standard, thats the first thing I would change. Nice looking bike otherwise.
Nice lookin' bike - love the yellow!
rndthought 11-22-2006, 08:55 AM Maybe some frame sliders...why aren’t they standard? :thinking
Anyway welcome and nice bike... I like the yellows, it's a proper color for the Hornet
sloan 11-22-2006, 09:49 AM Wowsers are those HUGE indicators standard, thats the first thing I would change. Nice looking bike otherwise. All the better to be seen with! :)
Mine is fully stock except for the added tank protector and LSL Frame sliders. I got my Givi windscreen yesterday and that's probably the last thing to be added for the life of the bike and that's the way I like it. Well, maybe some of those blue-looking headlight bulbs one day, but that's it I swear!
mechanic77 11-22-2006, 10:25 AM in the states those huge ugly indy's are standard I changed them first and got rid of that tail hanging down along with all those reflectors and $hit that make it look like a UFO
upraveenk 11-22-2006, 11:10 AM Thanks guyz.. Yeah I have a lot of work to be done on it. First when I looked at the yellow 599 it put lots of questions in my mind but I had to compromise on the color for the good deal I was getting on this. But once I was upclose taking a close look at it, I just fell in love.
One of the other modifications Im looking at is to replace the headlight with a dual headlight as seen in the Ducatis. Any suggestions ?? or has anybody done it already?

I was seriously looking at making a headlight modification with something much smaller, but after seeing how many miles of wires are tucked up inside the headlight housing, it scared me off. Because I wanted much smaller lights which would have no housing, I would have had to cut and shorten many of the wires tucked in there so they wouldn't flop around out in the open.
I was hoping to find something small and sleek like on the one used on the OCC I-Robot bike, but never found anything I really liked.

599 gots the best headlight ever...
mechanic77 11-22-2006, 09:41 PM yep the new headlights are great Nice and bright think they are H11 bulbs

They're same for the '04 and the '05 right? Looks the same to me. One of the things I like about the headlight is it's "throwback" style. I also like the fact that it has a separate low and high beam, and when you hit the high beam the low stays on providing nice fill. That's just me though.

Don't get me wrong, I would brag all the time about how functional the light was. Hell, it's like a damn spotlight on the front of the bike! I just wanted something a little more out of the ordinary and aggressive.
upraveenk 11-23-2006, 02:17 PM I will die to make my bike look like this with a dual headlight !!!
