Please post a thread up with a picture and a review if you get a chance. Thanks! :0)

Ok. Here you go Alex. YOu asked me in another thread to post up a thread on the boots. Here you are. Pics below. SOrry about the quality of the photos...I'm still having to use my digital camcorder to snap still photos since I haven't got a new camera yet. The first pic is one from online. The pics below it are of MY boots. I figured I'd post a pic from online retailer to give a little more detailed view of the boots since my photos are a little poor quality.....

I had bought a pair of Sidi's prior to this, and the Sidi's just did NOT feel good on my feet. They were really narrow, and then tight in spots, and really loose in other spots...it was just not a uniform snug fit. I took them back and ordered the VENTED SMX-R's from Alpinestars after I read a few reviews on them. I've been wearing the boots for about a week now and they are GREAT! Nice snug fit in ALL places. Nice size toebox. Nowhere near as narrow as Sidi's. They're breaking in very well and are soooooooo comfortable. They VENT very well. Leather has lots of perforations, and there are a couple of air vents built in to the boot as well. Supposedly they are made to haev the comfort of a rouring boot, with the protection needed if you plan to do some track time. They are supposed to be the best of both worlds. I've heard bad things about Alpinestars jackets falling apart in crashes (sticthing problems). But, I've heard nothing but good about their boots. These things are just great. When you are just walking in them, they feel just like walking in a race boot, only more comfortable...if that makes any sense?

Anyway, you wanted a post...so here ya go. If you are ever in the market for a new pair of boots, you really might want to give a look at these.

I forgot to say I'll try to get better pics once I get a new digital camera...which probably won't be until Christmas...

Thanks, Chris!
Don't worry about the quality of the pictures, as long as we can tell what the boots look like, we're good. (or at least I'm good :D )

PS. Enjoy your new boots and thumbs up on buying riding boots in the first place.

Yep...I love the boots. It's been sort of hard getting used to the way riding boots feel. I have some problems sometimes shifting from second to third. At first I thought it was my damn transmission, or clutch, or something mechanical on the bike. I put back on my regular old boots and POOF problem gone. So, I've figured out that my shifting problem is coming from the way my foot is positioned with the new boots. It's just a different feel that I'm not used to...but it's a very nice feel. They're still breking in too...

Chris, you can move the shift and brake levers up/down to suit your new boots. Give it a try.

Also, I'd change the title of the post to something a bit more useful like:

Interesting. I didn't know you could adjust the shift lever. Are the instructions in the manual???
