tyler d 12-04-2006, 04:58 AM Nice bike and welcome to yet another European! Its a great site this, lots of enthusiasm, they have made me feel very welcome 8)
Niceley modded Hornet you have there...very simple and not too over the top :thumbsup
How are you finding that can?
antihero 12-04-2006, 05:32 AM grrr, oh I'm so jealous. Why does europe get all the color choices?! There was one color available to me, black. Don't get me wrong, it's hot but I love variety. Plus the white ones are oh so sexy. I wonder how hard it would be to switch out all the plastics on my bike with the european white hornet 600. I imagine the guages would be the hardest part because it all looks like it will fit just fine.

Thank you, that seems to be a very nice forum
The next things that I'll change is the saddle. I would like one like this...certainly for Xmas.

At first, I had choose a black one, but my girlfriend said that black is common, not fun. So, we've took an Orange. Now, there is a new superb color, dark blue. That's look really great.

Well my dreams are dashed, I just found out they didn't make the newer '05-'06 in white... :(

I like the orange alright and you're right, the blue is hot. What undertray and hugger is that? I'm guessing it's the Ermax hugger with Pyramid undertray, yes?
Super Sneaky Steve 12-04-2006, 08:12 AM I really like the copper color. Never sell that bike!
It's a beautiful bike, Christopher! I among others here envy the color choice. I would so get the copper or white if I had a choice.
Welcome to the forum!

Super Sneaky Steve 12-05-2006, 08:37 AM Hey, do they make good waffles over there in Belgium?
Le Veilleur 12-05-2006, 10:37 AM Hey, do they make good waffles over there in Belgium?
The best ever :D We have Brussels's Waffles and Liege's Waffles.
MotoGPFan26 12-05-2006, 07:03 PM I love that hugger. I have the same undertray on mine. I have got to get me an Ermax hugger...
Better go talk to the wifey about Christmas presents for myself... :run
Ok, first of all i don't get what the big deal is about huggers. The stock ones are almost invisible and i wouldn't think that a bigger piece of plastic the covers up the rear wheel even more would be desireable. I actually don't even see a big difference from the stock to aftermarket ones...except the aftermarkets are usually painted a different, more visible color and perhaps incorporate the chain guard (which is also painted a more notable color, drawing attention to a part that's not very attractive in the first place...much like a hugger).
Sorry...i guess i realized that i don't understand why someone would want a to spend money to change something that i don't really see much difference in the before and after. Just go paint the stock one the color you want and, voila...you have it.
(Not meaning to argue with anyone here...if you like it, do it...I have no problem with it, but merely curious as to the attraction to do so.)
mechanic77 12-05-2006, 09:21 PM They dont come with huggers from the factory over here you have to add it on
djamalt 12-05-2006, 10:20 PM JMD - yours came with a stock hugger??? Didn't know that was an option. Mine came bare, and I just installed an Ermax one and it matches the gloss black perfectly. I can only imagine that not throwing rocks, gravel and dirt up my girls skirt (so to speak) can only be a good thing, and it keeps my rear spring and some other parts noticeably cleaner, which is always good when I get around to a proper wash. But, I gotta respect your opinion. To each their own right...
Personally, I'd love a hugger for my Bee. I think the guy I bought mine from rode it in the dirt and it looks like it "under the skirt" so to say. And having no private garage I still didn't get a chance to wash the damn thing. I hate that.
cesu pro 12-06-2006, 04:28 PM i'm pretty sure the 919s come with stock huggers,... hence JMDs opinion from stock to aftermarket being pointless.
correct me if i'm wrong
MotoGPFan26 12-06-2006, 06:43 PM JMD...remember most of us are riding 599's...no stock rear hugger on the 599 buddy... :? :?
Ah...i didn't realize the 599 didn't come stock with a hugger. The 919 does, and so many pics i see of 599s either have them or i didn't notice that they didn't. In that case i can see that adding a hugger would be nice as it does keep the underparts and suspension nice and clean. I just don't like the big ones or drawing attention to them as a fashion statement, when it really takes away from so many other more attractive aspects of the bike.
Here's a pic of the stock hugger on my bike. It's just about the right size, IMO, and pretty unnoticeable.

J-nuine 12-07-2006, 07:38 AM I wonder if the 919 stock hugger works with the 599. I really haven't found one that i really liked so far.... except for the carbon fiber Puig (but they only make it for the cbr's

Super Sneaky Steve 12-07-2006, 07:57 AM I don't think a florida guy would know how to drive up here with the ice and snow.
Don't they close everything down if they get an inch of snow down south?
antihero 12-07-2006, 08:22 AM Are you kidding me? One time a few years back they basicly closed down the city because everyone was afraid of "black ice". It wasn't even snowing! And tonight's forcast is 24 so I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have to come in to work tomorrow. Imagine if it snowed!
Super Sneaky Steve 12-07-2006, 08:41 AM Today's high is 20F with a low of 17F. 8)
It's not cold untill it gets into negative numbers.
