I see that Keihin makes 35mm FCR Carbs for the CBR F3 motor. I don't know if it will fit the 599. Have any of you guys tried this carbs?

Partly because of the bodywork (or lack thereof) and partly because the 599 is tuned for more midrange torque instead of max top end power. They put smaller carbs on the 599 compared to the CBR for more midrange. They also upgraded the carbs on the 2006 model to shut off fuel on decel for emissions, but it may give a few extra mpg in the processs. 370steve 12-18-2008, 08:37 AM I have talked to the UK importer of Kehine and the 33mm and 35mm will fit the hornet (just have to fit F3 inlet rubbers), i am going to fit some to my track bike when i have the money!!!! as for fitting them to a road bike!!!! they are made to give best results at high RPM's, so wont run very smoothly at town riding speeds!! The only difference between the hornet and the F3 motor is the carb size, the inlet rubbers, the exhaust collecter and the timing advance, so nothing that cant be done fairly easily | |
