It's been unusually wet and cold here in Northern California, and after riding in the rain a few times I decided to wash my baby bee. My other baby helped me wash it!
The bike was D-I-R-T-Y-! The previous owner must have ridden it in dirt somewhere because the whole undertail and spring were covered in sand and dirt for months! Until last night that is!
The pictures are a bit dark and a bit blurry, but here she is, cleaner than she's ever been since I got her!

Looks good!
And that's quite a collection of toys in your garage there, friend!
I've gotta wash mine again. My Thanksgiving ride found me following a dump truck through the twisties. Ugh. :banghead

I used this stuff with some microfiber towels (I love those things!).

Do you actually douse the bike with water or do you just use the
wet wipe down method?
Have you ever used the Honda spray from the dealer?
I use the "wipe down" method. :D ...especially since I don't really have a choice, I washed that bike in the middle of the underground parking garage of my building... on the very spot as you see it in the pictures.
I never used the Honda Spray, but I heard that it works wonders.

...the underground parking garage...
Underground? Yikes! I'll take hurricanes any day to being burried alive in an earth quate.

That would suck, wouldn't it?!
I'm a New Yorker at heart and have only been living in Cali for less than 2 years. So far, :: knocks on wood :: , I haven't experienced an earthquake, and hopefully I never will!

Knocking twice too. Each of the two times there has been a quake since I moved to LA, I was (literally) in the air on a plane back east for a visit when they hit. Funny thing, I don't even think about them, and to think about it, no one in the MSF course said what to do in a quake if one hits while you're on two. Damn, so let's see. Unexpected Cali bike dangers I now need to think about include, quakes, rockslides/mudslides, sinkholes, and snow! Yep, again with the snow in LA. And this time in Malibu! WTF!!!
Don't forget wildfires!
