And then guess what I did like a moron! I put the seat on the bike and then took off the front stand and then took off the back stand (I keep the bike on stands when not it use)... Well, I started to let the bike lean to the kick-stand side and WTF :yell ! I forgot to put the kick-stand out and the bike kissed the ground! Thank god I have the large frame sliders and they saved the day!! As far as damage the front OEM Honda fly screen got damaged as it hit the air compressor :banghead but that is it. Now can you fix a deep scratch in the Plexiglas? If not I think I will be reordering a new one... I guess I got to excited when the seat arrived... Sucks.

That's exactly what happened to me one of the two times i've dropped a bike. I was moving the bike in the driveway, retracted the kickstand while doing so, was talking with a friend and went to lean it back down...yeah...same thing. I can sympathize.

But congrats on the seat...looks awesome!

+1 I agree 100% with that statement.

I'm happy with my Sargent seat as well. It's too bad you didn't get the 25% november discount.

20% was not too bad. Now I sent in the seat on 01/15/07 (Fedex Ground) and got the seat back yesterday 01/22/07 not too bad. They put Florida residents first because of our all year round riding weather. Now do you think I can fix my Honda OEM front fly screen? Or will I be taking a trip to the dealer tomorrow to buy a new one??
:?

Your seat looks incredible. Is the yellow piping retroreflective? I might have to do that myself. Might as well since the bike will be unrideable for a couple of weeks when I take it to the shop. As for the scratch, how deep is it? I don't know if this will work, but they had this goop at the CycleWorld Bike Show that took scratches out of visors and glasses. Don't know it will work on the windshield. Just a thought.

Nice looking seat! Were they able to leave the tiedown hooks on the seat? Everybody over here says "Corbin", but they remove the hooks from under the seat and I need those for my tailbag.

They reuse your stock pan so the hooks remain.
