Hey guys! I know Russel recently came out with brake lines for our bikes. They are dark grey lines with silver fittings. I will try to get some pictures. Whos interested? I can probably get a good price going if enough people want them.

Maybe... get the price for front and rear... and is the front two or does it use the metal "bridge"?

I'd be interested if the price is right, they certainly look like quality equipment.

Russell makes quality parts. They are owned by Edlebrock. Russell makes a lot of stuff for cars and harleys and i guess they want to cash in on the growing bike market here in the US. They actually used my friends bike for R&D on the lines. So let's hope they can give me a good price.

Just waiting for the Russell guys to get back to me. So there's going to be a little color change from the prototye lines. Originaly they were thinking black plastic sleaves for the stainless lines but now they're thinking clear. I know the fittings will be in a zinc finish. Soon guys...soon.

Does this increase any performance aspect of the bike or is this strictly aesthetic?

Should offer a bit more modulation (control) and not get as soft under a lot of heavy braking...

Expect a firmer feel. The rubber lines will expand a little giving them a slight "squishy" feel. The steel won't flex.

The steel lines will also last longer. Rubber lines should be replaced every 4 years to be safe. I usually do my front lines but I leave my rear stock because you don't want any extra power back there.

If you want more power you can try a better pad like the HBC HH pads. They have more metallic content so they may ware the rotors faster, so it's a trade off.

you guys need to stop faster? i think the stock brakes work extremly well but if your going for the looks they might look pretty sweet love to see some pics. i have braded stainless lines on mi kx 125 they helped a lot espeacily braking at higher speeds

Sorry guys. It seems like the guys at Russell have given me the cold shoulder. They were really eager until i asked them for a price and that was two weeks ago. No email since. Well maybe their server is down or something. But if the situation changes I'll keep you guys posted.

OK!! I got the price. The lines were just released last week so that's why it took so long.

Retail for Russell brake lines front and rear: $110.

Our price: $80.

Please pm or email me your email so I can send out a paypal invoice and such. All legit here.

I will post photos on how they fit on the next post.

Thanks guys!
