5 below outside. (-25 windchill) Fire up the space heater and install those pieces I bought last week.

Renthal Ultralows (from Dennis Kirk)
Rizoma Dynamic mirrors and adapters (from pjsparts.com)
PJ recommended a different color adapter than I ordered. SPOT ON.
Thanks PJ.

Previously installed parts:
Motovation Sliders (www.motovationusa.com)
Honda Flyscreen (www.hondaofbournemouth.co.uk)
They actually called me on a Saturday from England to let me know
that they were relocating their dealership, my order would be delayed
and offered to cancel it if I wished. I ordered straight off of the
website. Look out for the exchange rate!!

I'm very happy with the outcome and would recommend all of the above vendors. I can't wait to ride it.

Man! I was just surfing PJ's earlier this afternoon, looking at those same mirrors! :o How do you like them? And are they significantly smaller (in terms of viewing area) than the stock ones?

Loving the Honda flyscreen! Have you installed that very recently, or have you had some time to ride with it? How well do you like it? I've been wanting to order one, and have just been procrastinating.

It's a little warmer here -- 19° -- but certainly not warm enough [for me] to ride.

I'm pretty sure those come in black. Check out PJ's website or rizoma.com.

vthoky: Yeah. They are quite a bit smaller than the stock mirrors. I spent several minutes in the seat getting them adjusted and trying to imagine what I could actually see if I was willing to open the garage door. I really think they will be fine on the road. There is a ball socket, but the initial setting and any major adjustments require a 5 or 8mm hex wrenches. That idea didn't appeal to me at first, but they are really solid and I'm not concerned that will be an issue once they are set where I want them. The ultra-low bars aren't really very apparent to the untrained eye, but the mirrors really up the "sport" factor.

I like the flyscreen. It does take alot of pressure off the chest. That 60-70-80 mph zone is more tolerable. Of course all of that air has to go somewhere so there is more turbulence around the head. I'd buy it again. I don't know if it works or looks better than the Givi screen I have seen, but it is Honda. (...says the guy who just took off the OEM bars and mirrors.)

I'll post an update on the mirrors if we ever get a dry day above 40 degrees.

clean bike man!

I'm acutally digging the lighting in your garage!

Thanks, guys.

The lighting is custom.
Bare bulb on the ceiling replaced with a "Y" and two floods.
Garage door opener
250 watt clamp-on halogen worklight
...all complemented by the warm glow of the propane heater reflecting
off of the NASTY grimey, salty (but painted) floor.

For a few thousand dollars I'll come to your house and create the same scheme.

mirrors look sweet. and they do come in black.

been looking at those too so it's great to see them fitted to a hornet. and adjusted for viewing purposes. on the site they have them so they're really low. looks cool but all you'll see is your forearm!!

So Price, I know it's too cold to ride, but how do you like the feel of the ultra-lows when when you sit on her so far? I was looking at some in the Honda Dealership at lunch today. I'm supposed to be on on a buying mods for the bike freeze, but you see how long that's lasting. LOL.

I understand that. You can't ride. All you can do is think about it. Very dangerous.

The feel of the bars is not a lot different. Imagine 1.5 inches lower, maybe 2 inches farther forward. I can't wait to ride it.

Aargh! The highest forecast temp for the next week is 20!!

how's the vibration on those mirrors?

also what's the view like. i mean, can you get them lower and closer in to the handlebars but still get a decent view behind you?

The mirrors have only seen seen the inside of my garage so far. I'll have to let you know once this global warming kicks in. I think it finally got over 10 today. Maybe I'll put on shorts.

The vibration on rizoma mirrors is nill. They are very sturdy and solid. I just bought a set of radial nakeds from pjsparts. You can set them lower but they would be futher forward. They pivot at the mount on the handlebars.

Cool pics. Why is one of your holes pluged in the exhaust? Maybe you can drill that out.

Nice!

How do you like the sound of that BlueFlame? Loud?

Any chance you've got a couple of more photos. I'd love to see one from the side and one from the rear. You put that sweet bike out there. Now we want more!!

the blue flame was 525 shipped. It was a bit more than i wanted to spend on a slip on, but i fell in love with the oval pipe with dual outlets. I splurged a little but it's nothing a few weeks of overtime won't fix.

WoW ! ! Love that blue flame. I bought the Micron and the sound is getting better with age but when you travel with a bunch of Harleys with straight pipes my poor little Hornet get drowned out. Sometimes, loud pipes are just plain fun. Let me know how it sounds with the baffles out.

Is there an under tray in your future? All the very best.
