Haha, I did a glove shot especially for you guys. I figured you'd get a kick out of it. :D

As for how I keep the bike so clean?... I wash it every so often. I washed it a couple of weeks ago because I knew I was going to be taking pictures of it.

... the rain is coming though... ...so it won't stay clean for long.

I'll never be able to keep mine for more then 2min that shiny and dirt free!

Kudos

Aaauuggh! The glove shot! He's challenging us again! :D
(And he's done quite a good job of it!)

I'll not be participating for a little while -- it's 11°here, so the only background I'd be able to offer is my garage wall. Not so exciting.

Oh man, I feel bad for you guys that can't ride year round. I can't even imagine not being able to ride for a week. Cold weather sucks! Every time I go home (Brooklyn) in the winter time I'm reminded why I'm paying an arm and a leg to live in California.

PS. The bike is clean, but it's not THAT clean. It's called photoshop boys and girls... increase the contrast settings a bit and you've automagically made all the dirty parts disappear in darkness. :0)

Glad you liked the pics. :D

Those are some nice pics. I especially like the glove shot.

Like the rest of you it's colder than balls outside. It was -7 the other day and my car would not start. Kids don't even have to go to school because it's too dangerous they say.

So much for global warming.

Last week I rode to work two days where it was in the low 40's!

I'll rent you a room cheap, furnished with all the pillows you can handle!

Yep, cherry trees are starting to bloom. Last winter was my first one in California and when I saw that trees were blooming in February I had the same reaction as you. It's amazing!

Look at where it says today "watch out for mosquitos" WTF? Stupid weather channel.

At least it's warming up next week.

Oooooh yeah! HEAT WAVE!
BTW, no freeze past couple of years down here and none in sight for this year either. We have Mosquitoes year round. Sucks...but not as bad as sub freezing temps for the highs!

Alex, was lucky enough to be in DC one year when the cherry trees around the Mall were in bloom... very beautiful. But they won't see that for another couple of months

What kind of camera do you own those pictures are clean... or at least how many MP is it?

Alex

The camera's Canon 30D and it rocks! It's 8 mega pixels, but megapixel count isn't all that important, it's the camera's sensor. It helps to have good lenses to go with it, too.

Thanks. :D
For now, I'm hoping to get the three lenses most recommended for wedding photography. Given that I have a 28-135 IS, the next lens I want is the 70-200, after that a 14mm is in order. A 17-40 will follow.

Given that I can't afford any of them at the moment... they'll have to come once I earn some money doing wedding photography. ... I have so many projects on my hands that I don't even have the time to put together a decent website to promote myself. :? but I'm going off tangent now.

My recommendations are 24-70 F2.8L, 70-200 F2.8L, 17-35L, and the 50 1.4 EF, you need the larger apertures when working in low light at weddings trust me I know..
