Are there any 599 riders in the Toronto area? I ride a VFR, but my wife is on a 599. We would probably be interested in meeting up for a ride somewhere is south central Ontario next summer.

Thanks for the welcome. These msg boards are great resources for bikes. I guess in San Jose you guys are still riding. We are freeeezzzing up here.

i live about 2 hours east of toronto, in prince edward county. it's beautiful here in the summer...nice roads, great scenery, and a big show called "the ride to remember". the show is dedicated to all things two-wheeled, has demo rides from most major manufacturers, and is in june or july (i'll get the date if you're interrested). if you like more aggressive riding, go about an hour north of here (along hwy 7) the flinton road/506/509 run (for one example) is a one hour plus roller coaster ride.

Man, those 500 roads north of you are awesome. Rode a bunch of them last June... demanding at speed and an excellent time!

I'm about an hour west of Toronto. I'd definitely be interested in a ride(s) this summer with some fellow Hornets. I have seen 1 other Hornet on the roads... ever! And that was 2 years ago.

Keep everyone posted, I travel alot between Kingston-Ottawa-Toronto and Montreal.

That whole area is chock full o' good roads, every flavor, too. Flinton road, 506, 509, Desert Lake rd., 508/Calabogie rd., 511...the list goes on. I usually ride these roads a few times a season, and spend a weekend or two riding around Ottawa. (The ride to and from the lookout in Gatineau Park is always on my list when visiting Ottawa It's short, but oh so sweet.) I hear there are some good 500 series roads around the Barrie area as well. It sure would be nice to have a bunch of hornets come buzzing into the sportbike rally in Parry Sound this year. I have seen 3 other 599's in the Belleville area, 2 black, and 1 yellow; all 2004.

When's the sportbike rally in Parry Sound?

My favourite road was 507 up to Gooderham... Bloody madness!

Ah crap.... we just got snowed on. I was already riding for 2 weeks last year!

Urbane -- I am in Tottenham, as is a good buddy of mine who I ride with. As it turns out he too rides a VFR. Do you happen to be a part of VFRD? If so, you may recognize him as 'wargoose'.
