I think he found it funny that anyone would want to block a fan cooled radiator with a giant piece of metal  , nice find though.

craigpfeiffer, Bad day eh?

It was just funny... you know...a radiator cools (water)...a cover with a design is "cool", for a radiator that cools...that then keeps it from cooling as well...a "cool" radiator cover, it's (like) an oxymoron...I don't know...I thought it was a funny group of words and intentions is all...don' t look to me for fashion tips, have you seen the photo Steve posted of me? you really don't want me decorating your bike

Odd enough, the 599 Hornet is the only bike I've ever owned that stayed as cool as it does. Amazing to me. So a "cool" radiator cover may work fine even down here in the summer (and offer protection as well, to the cooling radiator...because a damaged radiator is definitely not gonna cool well and that is un-"cool" )! I'm easily amused.

Mine has given me no probs. Engine hasn't run any hotter since I put it on. We'll see how it fares the summer temps in LA go plus 100. If I'm even riding in that mess.
(I have pics posted in the Accident section of the radiator cover.)
