I don't like the look of it ...

Must be the plastic on the front ... I prefer the naked look.

I'm with you, except I like the exhaust, other than that *meh*

Ya, does nothing for me. The headers are kinda cool how they flow to the side... but I am reaching here for something nice to say! It doesn't look like a naked anymore. The circular headlight is a nice link back to the ye olde café racer. It looks like it could be a Kawi, Yamaha or Suzuki.

Maybe it will grow on me but the existing 599 & 919 still do it for me way more. I actually prefer the 04 to the 06 because they added that wee windshield and got rid of the nice white analogs! But then again I prefer the inverted forks on the 06...

Kinda neat... but different, in a bad way sometimes.

I like the exhaust, the wheels, the frame and the engine. The headlight is meh... Overall though, the bike seems to beat the pants off the previous models.

Overall I think it looks great. If I could change one thing it would be the tail section. I prefer the clean, simple, pointy styling of the previous models.

It also seems that with the more powerful engine, it's not so much a bike for beginners any more.

I'd love to have one though (or at least have the option to get one  ). I think they did an awsome job.

Yeah, that. I kinda sit around telling myself that I don't like the new Hornet, because I can't get one any way.

I love it, and should they bring it to canada for '08, I would trade up mine for one. Honestly. Why couldn't they put that engine in the 04 model though???? or at least the F4 or F4i motor.... :D

I agree they should have never gotten rid of the white analogs. The instrument cluster is the one thing I don't really like about my 06. That being said, I really dislike the new ginormous instrument cluster on the 08. WTF?

Overall the bike pretty much looks like most of the other naked bikes out there. I second the meh.

It's sad. I love the 2004's round headlight, round dials. I love the way it works. It could be improved, sure, but it's going to be hard to find a bike in the future that I'll be willing to be seen on.

I think I am going to need to start buying barely-used yellow 2004s and save them.

You already have a "hardly used" '04 599!

I agree. I think it is ugly compared to my 2006.

I have to agree I wish my 2006 had a round speedo.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere already, but does anyone know if they will be releasing any new models in the U.S. in the future? Just curious really, my '06 will keep me happy for a long time. When the time comes for a new one I could be open to a 919 if there are no newer 599's.

I don't think they've announced the '09 bikes yet. But you may want to consider that the 919 wasn't brought here in '08, they are still selling what's left of the '07 models. With the price of the EURO to the dollar, if they do bring the euro hornets, they probably won't be cheap...
