Check it out homies!

Please let me know what you think. Does it look better or worse? Now, theses aren't the most glamorous pictures so don't be too harsh.

I'll have a review of them at speed later (in like a month  ) But they are heavier than the stock bar ends so I don't think vibration will be an issue.

My only issue is that I'd probably take out quite a few side view mirrors with them
Real question is do they let you see over your shoulders?

Yes, they clear my elbows and shoulders better than any standard bar.

There's a few pivot points so there are a sundry of orientations. I just like this one best.

Looks good.

I can't wait to see it in the sunshine. Do you think it will actually stop snowing?

Personally, I love those. I actually bought them and tried to have them installed... but it turned out more of a pain than it was worth. Taking out the weights from the bars was more than a mission even for a couple of shops. When finally they managed to pull a bar weight out and put one of the mirrors in, it didn't fit well and constrained the movement of the throttle grip. I finally hade them put everything back and returned the mirrors.

So, Steve... how on Earth did you manage to get them installed? Did you have to change/cut the handgrips? Do they need constant tightening?

If not, my hats off to you my friend and the bike looks awesome!

:thumbsup

I'll agree it was a pain in the buttox, but it's not too complicated. Did you see the new additions to my video section?

To remove the weights you just need to depress the thingies in the hole then leaverage them out with a small screw driver.

If you want I can take close up pic's of the internals.

The key to making it not bind the throttle side is to just loosen it and back out. You can't shove it all the way in. Just take your time and do it little by little. I didn't have to modify the grips, I just had to adjust the levers.

I think you should try it again on your own Alex. There's no way you can go wrong, you've got a team of good guys here to help if you get stuck.

As for them staying put in the wind, well I won't be riding for a while till the snow melts, but others have had success with the exact same product.

I've seen a few people with those on pointing down instead of up. looked pretty mean. Is that something you've thought of trying?

That's what I was thinking. I've only seen mirrors like these installed hanging down.

The stalk rotates and locks in a few positions. I could have them go strait out the the side, or strait down. For me strait up is the most functional because I don't have to look down as far. I'll experiment later when the snow goes away.

I also got these because they were larger. I didn't like the tiney ones. These are a good mix of function and style.

I accidentally traded my two napolean mirrors when I traded my GS500 in. I didn't realize it until much later

They did cause quite a bit of vibration at higher speed though.

I just did my second ride with the bar end mirrors. It took me a couple times to get them just right. Overall I'm very happy with them. I haven't been on the freeway with them but I did tickle 70mph on a back road.

My stock mirrors were awsome when it came having no vibration. If I had to give numbers to it with 10 being the worst I'd give the stock ones a 1 and these a 3. So it's a little worse, but still very functional. Having the stalks come up really help.

Steve, do you still have these bar ends, and after a year, what do you think? I saw these on a bike at school and they look killer. I'm not sold on the small circular CRG mirrors everyone talks about, but I'd like to replace my alien antennas that the 599 came with.

I ended up going back to stock. The reason was that if I got the right one tight enough so that it wouldn't move on the freeway it would compress the throttle tube enough that it wouldn't snap back freely.

If I extended the mirrors to the side on the freeway this wouldn't happen and the view was still good.

I'm sure there is a solution to the problem, but I just got impatient.
Other than the minor twisting at high speeds they were great. Good view, not a lot of vibration.

If I had cut a few MM off my right grip where it was rubbing that may have fixed the problem. I should have asked the guys on the Triumph forum how they do it.

Awww now I'm starting to miss those mirrors :(

If you figure it out, I'll take your round stocker mirrors off your hands!
