Anybody listen to music or something while you ride? How about talking to a pillion? If so, what do you use?
I take my 7-yr old riding, and it'd be nice to be able to talk to her without having to stop.

Ipod with ear buds works for me and I talk to myself so no need for comm mic
Intercom units - Autocom, Starcom, IMC, Chatterbox. These will do VOX intercom and PTT for bike to bike. All except the Chatterbox will also accept inputs for phone, GPS, mp3 player. All except the Chatterbox are pricey and it's not in the same league as the others.

The best advice always comes from the voices in my head! :D
I've been looking around and there are so many models and options I can't keep it straight. Much less decide if one or another is any better.

I've got a starcom1 advance. It works great for rider-pillion communication and music listening, but I've had some trouble with the phone and frs components. I use it with in-ear monitors that also protect my hearing and let me use a very low music volume.

Give Sierra Electronics a shot. This is what they do, and they do it well.

I finally settled on a Chatterbox system. Works fine so far. My daughter is now able to tell me she needs to pee within 3 minutes of leaving the house and we don't even have to shout or stop!
Thanks for the input, folks.

I listen to music. I glued in some thin headphones to my helmet, and strung a wire through my coat. Works greta. Use my ipod for a source. :)
