Sort of tying together the recent topics on burglaries and gun ownership...

Today's Roanoke (Virginia) Times offered an article in which one young reporter managed to publish a list of concealed carry permit holders in Virginia, based on the whole "open government" concept.

Many readers are upset about this action. Frankly, I am, too. This reporter's irresponsible use of his First Amendment rights potentially endangers many who choose to use their Second Amendment rights, in my opinion.

Irresponsible, yes. Left leaning? Yep. But hell, his disregard for privacy fits him square in the White House right now.

For the record, I am extremely liberal and extremely conservative, depending on the issue. Personal freedom, personal responsibility.

This mess has really hit the fan.
(And FWIW, I'm still pissed at the Roanoke Times for this stunt.)
