Help! Im missing an electrical box under the left rear fairing, the computer is intact and i found one box on the road which says 12v NO RC-2208. I just need to know what componet ive lost. The bundle of wires has a gray, blue, two greens one bigger than the other, black/brown, black/red, and a blue/black.Anyone have a wiring diagram of this? If i can figure out what box im missing all i have to do then is put the wires back in the right place, easier said than done since the connectors are gone. you will have this when you throw your hornet down the highway at 70 MPH!!!! Thanks for any help in advance. DK

One of the boxes under the left side of the tail panel is the turn signal relay. I can't see what the number is without taking off the tail panel and you're not that lucky at the moment! There are two boxes under my tail panel there, though (I have a 2004). . . . I'm trying to figure out what the other is but I'm not having much luck.

By the way, welcome to the forum - I'm sorry your first post is regarding such bad fortune. How is the rest of your bike (and you)?

I don't have my bike with me so I cannot confirm the part exactly but this link should at least point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps, and glad to hear that you are ok.

PS. Sorry to hear about your accident, for sure. Still, you're typing so you must be in relatively good shape. Welcome to the forum.

Well actually my girlfriend was the unlucky one one the hornet, i ride an old fzr with privelages on the hornet. 70 mph getoff with not a broken bone, lots of rash, concussion, couple knocked out teeth even with a helmet on. She is SO LUCKY to be in one piece, and the bike too with lots of damage nothin that cant be fixed though. Thanks everone for the help so far.

Whoa. I hate to go there, but were the knocked out teeth from mouth to helmet contact or chin to pavement contact? And just out of curiosity - what kind of gear was she wearing? At 70, it sounds like she came out very well with whatever she had on.

Looks like starter relay assembly, and this explains why it wont turn over. Just have to figure out which wires go where, and get these relays with the wire connectors i guess.

One of these cheap flip up helmets, dont buy one!!!!! She was not wearing any of her 3 pair of riding boots or gloves and i tried to tell her.........leather jacket and jeans she had on.Lots of her pain is in the hands and feet the shoes flew right off. One of the most sickening feelings in my life to see her unconsious on the freeway thinking she was dead.

Gad! I'm so sorry she was hurt. I never ever go out without full armored leathers, etc etc and that is exactly why. I hope she will recover fully.

Glad there was minimal human damage.

As for the part, too many wires to be the turn signal relay.

Actually these parts are visible with just the seat off, turn signal relay and 2 starter relays. (well maybe not starter relay after all??)

Best I have at the moment:

The turn signal relay has been removed, hence the three connectors there. Directly to the right of the, err, ECU or Big Gray Box is some other relay that I'm not sure what it does.

Thanks, I need all the help i can get when i didnt know what it looked like to begin with! I have all the wires tracked down except for the black/red, and blue/black 14 guage and ground, still have no idea and i even have the wiring diagram :?
Thanks again for the help and i did get the hornet running yesterday the starting problem was from crushed starter idle gears not the wiring as i suspected. Amazing what this bike went through and to have it running 2 weeks later with more labor than money, these bikes are well built.

Turns out the other relay is for the high beam.
