I'm intrigued by the bohn armored pands and shirts. Has anyone here tried them?

Bohn makes highly regarded body armor.

What you found is only one product. I am sure it is good. Before I used leathers with built in armor I had an armored undersuit from Dainese, which is very similar to the armor from Bohn in your link. (The full link is http://www.bohn-armor-pants.com/catalog/?prod=BGLA by the way.)

Now! What this armor will do is give you impact protection (it's primary purpose) and a bit of sliding protection. It is not designed to replace the sliding protection of leather.

ARMOR IS IMPACT PROTECTION. LEATHER IS SLIDING PROTECTION. When you consider gear, always remember what you are trading off when you do not get BOTH armor and leather.

Draggin Jeans try to give you sliding protection with the kevlar. Kevlar does not come close to the sliding protection of leather (nothing comes close to leather.) It's better than cotton though. You also can get armor - I have no idea how good it is.

I've got the Bohn Adventure pants. I wear them under my jeans. Not quite overpants or leather, but I feel better wearing them than nothing. They fit under jeans.

I had a pair of dragginjeans on, when I had my mishap. I still got a scab on my left knee, but had it been a regular pair of jeans, it would have been worse.

I have both Draggin Jeans and TourMaster DSX denim pant and I like the DSX better.

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=26660&department=113&Division=1

The DSX's have CE knee armor that slips inside and offers better protection than the Draggin Jeans. Draggin offers armor at extra cost. The DSX knee pad is visible when in riding position but not when walking around. The draggin jeans feel too thick/hot. The DSX has thicker than standard denim and leather lined knees and butt protection and I think they just look bettter and are less bulky. And both are better than nothing.

I'm also interested in the bohn armor ( are they trying to say bone armor?) let me know what you think if you buy it.
