Just be sure to use a clean, soft cloth. Terry cloth (an old towel, or facecloth) works good, and doesn't scratch the paint. ranger5oh 06-04-2007, 10:23 AM Goo Gone... stuff works miracles... and smells like oranges! Don't know why. rndthought 06-04-2007, 05:53 PM A normal pencil eraser can work surprisingly well on these things. Don't know why. Do you mean the "gummy" type of eraser...not the one on the end of a #2? djamalt 06-04-2007, 05:55 PM Art gum. Takes me back to my days drafting. Good idea there, and should do the trick rather cleanly. Reg 06-09-2007, 08:50 PM Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, or your garage and get a quart of Naphtha. It is perfect for removing adhesive residue and will not harm the paint. In fact, it works so well, you won't have to scrub the finish and risk scratching it. Lighter fluid for Zippos is a more expensive alternative, but it is basically Naphtha itself. vthoky 06-10-2007, 07:51 AM Naphtha? Sounds like we're well beyond the old oil-on-the-top-of-the-peanut-butter-jar trick. | |
