I finally found a Saturday where I have no plans, so I thought it might be a good day to try to get a few of us from the St. Louis area together for a ride.

Nothing too serious, nothing too organized. Just a fun ride. I figured we would meet up, discuss each of our favorite roads, then choose a route.

Anyone interested please PM me and we can discuss the details.

In an effort to get more responses from the St. Louis locals, I sent out some PM's. Ranger, I think I sent one to you as well, even though you already replied. Sorry! Let me know if your schedule opens up!

I am definately up for a ride. I have some friends that are going to Arkansas for lunch on Saturday - but that is a 600+ mile ride :)
Have you been to Bixby? There are some great roads down south.

Welp, I don't have ALL day as I originally thought. :? But I am up for anything as long as home by 5 or so.

How far is Bixby? I have heard of it, but never been there.

I went to bike night last night at Chuck-a-Burger in St. Charles, great group, my first time.. I got talked into going on the Arkansas ride with the STLAR guys. (now that I have heard that some commented that there was no way the guy on the 599 will show - I must go :))
They are leaving St. Charles at 5:00 AM - but since I live down south I am catching them at Potosi at 7:00 AM. Should be 700+ miles from my house.
You are welcome to come along, I don't think we will make it back before 8ish though.
I should be up for a ride next weekend as well.

I've met a couple of the STLAR guys before. Very layed back and very cool. A good friend of mine went to Arkansas with them a year or two ago and said the roads were fantastic. Similar to Deal's Gap, but with a quarter of the traffic. Are you riding there??? When they went they trailered the bikes. Made for a much more comfortable journey back.

I've been wanting to get to a bike night for a while, but I work until 10:30pm every Thursday, so it's tough. One day though...

Have fun, be safe, and we'll talk when you get back.

Yep, that is the spot we are going! A group of them went down about 2 weeks ago and did a couple of days there. There is a restaurant they found that is built into the side of a cliff, that we are riding to for lunch. There roads are supposed to be awesome. I will post pictures and a review of the ride when I get back.
