Are the forks on a 2004 599 the same as on the 2005 919? Im trying to put a 05 919 fender on a 04 599.

For sure they are not EXACTLY the same as the 919 are adjustable and the 599 are not...but as for the fender mounting...may want to drop by a dealer that has one in stock and take a look at it...if possible.

You could also do a microfiche lookup on the part numbers at ronayers.com

I would suspect that you're going to have to drill some holes, or at the very least move some stuff around to get that to work.

Alternately you could just fit the whole 919 front end :twisted: !!!! That would be sweet!

I ordered the fender ans I will post when I check the fit.

The 05 919 front fender fit like a glove on my 04 599. They are interchangable.

what is the real difference between the two, if you don't mind my asking?
