Awesome forum, ive read just about every post on here and all you guys seem to be real cool. Anyways, i bought a new 599 a little more than a month ago. Awesome bike, i love it being naked because the engines the best part of a motorcycle. But into the first night i had my new bike some girl in my town hit it, and it tipped over and took some damage. It's not too much of an accident as much as it is her being stupid and high. But, my local shop, who was quick to pick it up and give my insurance company a 2,373.83 qoute has yet to do anything to my bike. I just saw it today after calling every day to see how it was comming. It's sitting in a lot with other trashed bikes holding it up. He hasn't ordered any parts, hasn't installed any parts, and he doesn't sound like he will be doing anything soon. I am a good mechanic, and could install all the parts that are hurt, gas tank, radiator hose... but i need a place to buy these parts i already have the insurance check. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys. i just have the before pic

Try this place. I had to order a tank, visor and the rear fairing. There might be cheaper out there, check. Only problem was the tank, it was backordered.

Here's another. They might be cheaper, compare it to the first.

http://www.hondaparts-direct.com/ is by far the cheapest place to get OEM parts.

Also check out http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/getyear.cfm?man=ho&groupid=4240 It says "2004", but I'm sure that most parts are the same and if you call them, they will probably have what you need.

But yeah... welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your bike being hit. The shop doesn't sound particularly reliable... take your baby away from them and take it elsewhere (or fix her up yourself).

Good luck!

But it does get addicting. You should see if they have an AMA in the area just in case

Hey Sean! I have to agree with you. I am very cool indeed 8)

That sucks about your bike. Bikes are best kept away from females. They secretly want to destroy your bike because of their wee wee envy.
