At the risk of staring another oil thread I just wanted to post what I found by the way of prices and oil.

I have been using Spectro motorcycle oil.

$23 at the shop for 4L of the regular

$26 for the Golden blend

$40 for Repsol full syn (the good stuff)

$16 at Walmart for Rotella T fully syn.

I've browsed many motorcycle sites and no one has had a bad experiance with this stuff. It's so cheap and full syn so I thought I'd give it a try. I've got a few thousand miles to go, but I'll report back if my bike blows up or anything.

Is it too much assumption to think the bike's probably in motion or otherwise doing something involving the rider when an oil problem causes spontaneous eruption? I think not!

However, an oil problem that causes random explosions while parked and off would perhaps be the coolest thing ever. For people who don't own said bike. Or park near it, for that matter.
