View Full Version : JMD's baby boy
Well, he's finally here. John Bastian, born on September 18. We're finally home from the hospital just this afternoon. We've had tons of visitors and pictures taken, but realized we didn't actually have any of our own. So i just had to whip out the camera and take some.
The birth was pretty difficult with some complications, but everything turned out well in the end and both momma and baby are healthy and happy.
He's a pretty chill little guy...just kinda looks around and makes faces at you. Cutest little guy ever. (But i guess i'm biased... :) ) 7lbs 9oz and 22" long. Long and skinny like his dad. Now if he'll just learn to open his mouth to feed instead of sucking on his tongue...
I call him John 2.0: bigger, better, smarter. At least that's what i'm hoping. ;)

MotoGPFan26 09-21-2007, 07:46 PM Congrats JMD! He's adorable. Weird, my little boy and your little boy were both born with so much hair on their heads. Cool aint' it?
Well my friend...the first 3 to 5 days will be pretty laid back and cool. Then the fun begins. Good luck brother! Mine turns 6 weeks old in 2 days...it has been a rough past 5 weeks. Getting better now.
A friend of mine give me the most valuable information I've been given by anyone. Remember...no matter how bad it gets, no stage lasts forever. He will get better...
You'll understand what I mean in another week or two...
Hows your wife doing? I hope she's doing well. Make sure you help her LOTS! I have no doubt you will...just needed to throw it in there...
Transient 09-21-2007, 08:31 PM Congratulations, JMD.
He definitely LOOKS smarter.
J Bash...i like it!!!
Yes, we're now at the end of day 3 and it's been pretty chill. But he's just starting to get the milk and realize what hunger feels like...as well as gas. So lots of feeding and burping. So far so good...but i know what you mean about it getting more, interesting, later on. I'm sure it will...
I'm actually taking all of next week off work. We just finished our current remodel project today so it's good timing. I'll be able to entertain the little guy while Kristi (hopefully) catches up on her sleep and tries not to move around too much. But so far it's SO much better than her being overdue. She had some complications, but it's all good now. It's easier dealing with a baby on the outside than inability to sleep and rashes like my wife had during the last few weeks. After things being so difficult and crazy that way, hopefully it will make the actual care-giving seem a lot easier.
He definitely LOOKS smarter.
Yeah, well...that's why i wear glasses...they make me look smarter.
At least I can pee standing up! John 1, Bastian 0 Boo-yah! ;)
LeatherWings 09-21-2007, 11:24 PM Congradulations man! nice work :clap
Excellent! I'm very happy for you three! Congratulations, and enjoy every minute of it! :D
At least I can pee standing up!
For now...
Then it will be you in the diapers, and him whiping your ass... enjoy it while you can... congrats
