Well, I just received these boots in the mail today. I figure I'll give a little rundown on them in case anyone is thinking about them. The reason that I went with these boots instead of something like a Sidi or Alpinestars boot, is that I simply consider them a little too expensive for me. I wanted to try and get a good protective boot for less than $100. After shipping for 3 days and tax it ended up being $117, so I figure I did alright.

Now about the boots. They are surprisingly large, not in size because I wear an 11.5 and bought the 12's and they fit like a champ. I mean their actual outer dimensions, they are very tall in the toe. If you are used to a thin shoe or small boot these will take some getting used to, I wore a pair of K-Swiss and these made feel like I had never ridden a bike before. I was missing gears and locking up the rear brake for the first hour or so. I also took some of my favorite local turns, and they rubbed the ground so much sooner than my shoes. I think after a little while I will get used to the weight of the boot and be able to keep them up better.
The buckle system is very nice, it has three buckles that will tighten the boot, but not the laces. The top two buckles have a piece of material that will hold down any excess laces. They also have a zipper on the inside for quick on and quick off.
The air flow is the best I've ever worn, though this is the only dedicated riding boot I have worn. I didn't even realize what it was at first, but then it hit me there was air in my boots and my feet weren't getting hot by the motor. I usually find myself with moist socks after about two hours of riding.
I can't speak for the protective qualities, hopefully I won't ever be able to, but they feel very stiff. This might be the break-in period, but I feel like they have quite a bit of protection. They have a lot of material that I think adds to the protection.

So, overall, I think these are the best boots I could have bought, for the money. I really like the way they look as well. I didn't go in to the aesthetics of the boot simply because they are pretty straight forward, look at the pics. I am thrilled with the styling because I have this whole flat black look, or a street fighter image. They match my black jacket and black helmet wonderfully well, makes me that much more menacing.

If anyone has any questions about these boots that I didn't answer hit me with a PM and I'll try to answer the question.

I bought those originally but turned them in for a pair of Big Bang Boots from Joe Rocket because I found the toe didn't fit under my shifter on my original bike - which was unadjustable. Have you have the same problem?

I had that problem a bunch the first day or two I wore the boots, but then I just began planning my shifts a little further in advance. I think that once I figure out how to adjust my shifter I shouldn't have near as much trouble. I just have to try and adjust it, blindly might I add. Hopefully I'll be able to make the adjusments as I really like the boot.

I've had the same boots for 3 years now and they're great everyday boots... but now I have the itch for some racing-style boots with a waterproof insert like the Alpinestars S-MX3 Boots. The waterproof option seems very important after the Southern Ontario Swarm a couple of weeks ago! Although a couple of grocery bags worked like a charm!!!

I believe 3 of us used the bag in the boot strategy... it looks super cool when it comes out of the boot and flaps around in the wind!

I just bought these BMW Airflow 2 boots. These are street boots, are 3/4 length and as name suggests, the air flows through. I love these. Protection, no loose laces and cool feet. Available at BMW of course. They also have a few motorcycles to look at too while your there.

Not good for rain: they will also require grocery bag inserts.

i have these boots. they are my first riding boots but i really like them, very sturdy and i dont worry about messing my foot/ankle up ever. like smitters mentioned it takes about a day to get used to the thick toe.
