Title make you curious?

So anyway, I'm on my way home from work this morning.

Sunny and 65. A beautiful day to ride. Hardly any traffic.

I start down Farmersville road like I do almost every day, not too fast through the first S curve as it's residential.

EEEAAASSSYYY around the next right where the farmers tractor leaked hydraulic fluid all over the road. It's not too slippery now after two rains, but no sense taking chances.

Not too fast on the next left as there's dirt tracked out of the field.

Next up is another S, easy into the left as it's a bit dirty too (Damn, yet another way for Tobacco to kill you.), shift the weight and add power to exit through the right.

Now a long straightaway then a nice left and a short straight before stopping at the intersection of Farmersville Rd (N and S) and Farmersville Rd (E and W) in the village of.....Farmersville (Think Floyd Landis).

Another long straight...crap...quick pass around the SUV with trailer behind it that just HAD to pull out in front of me...and we get a 2nd gear left, power out and brake hard into the blind right over a one lane bridge in case I need to stop for oncoming traffic, clear, just a touch of throttle, not too much, while shifting weight right for the off camber right hander after the bridge, little power out, upshift to 3rd while transfering weight for the left hand sweeper that follows and apply throttle to power out then back off and enjoy the ride for the looong straight that follows.

This provides time to think....I've been smooth and not too aggressive (public roads after all) good throttle cont....swerve to the right side of the lane to give plenty of room for the car that's passing a horse and buggy (Asshole - you would've waited if I'de been driving my SuperDuty)(Hey! Focus! What's behind you no longer matters)....rol. Focusing on the road immediately in front of me instead of looking ahead.

OK then, need to keep the focus farther ahead, we've worked on this before, mustn't forget...this is basic.

2nd gear right coming up, always take it a bit too slow, but that's OK, downshift to slow down, balls of the feet on the pegs, shift the weight, and a bit throttle to settle the suspension, focus out ahead while leaning in and....the back end's slipping and....I can hear and feel the peg scraping as the bars miraculously turn left with the slide (did I do that?) and then the bike lifts out of the turn right in the direction I'm focused on without any fuss or bother and power up to exit and then HOLY CRAP WTF WAS THAT!!!

Did I go in faster than normal? I don't think so.
Did I miss fresh horse poo because I was focused so for ahead? Maybe.
Hero gobs my ass, that was scary!
Did I fling it over instead of leaning in smoothly? I don't know.
Left hand sweeper, shift weight, maintain throttle.
Did I forget throttle control and back it in? I don't know.
Did I....Focus on the ride MORON you're not home safe yet.

Let out the pucker and damn, adrenaline rush, heart pounds, and....it tastes like I've got a mouth full of pennies. I'd spit if I wasn't wearing a full face helmet. Man would I love to spit.

+1 on the commentary.

I wish I could tell you what happened, may be there was some gravel on the road that you didn't see, who knows. You pulled it through, that much is great.

Keep the rubber side down.
