First thing I notice.... red hat on the passenger seat...read bandana in the back pocket ... probably a gangster wanna be jackass ... no sympathy here. (edit): Scratch that .... Poor bike :( Alex 09-26-2007, 04:55 PM Ouch. :? jmd 09-26-2007, 08:28 PM That's a bit surreal... rndthought 09-27-2007, 07:57 AM Made my stomach churn...found myself hoping that it was just that his helmet got stuck :( The most interesting thing for me when I got over the initial reaction is that this was a crash where both vehicles were going in the same direction! SID 09-27-2007, 09:00 AM The most interesting thing for me when I got over the initial reaction is that this was a crash where both vehicles were going in the same direction! Pretty much assures you that it was the fault of the motorcyclist ... hard for a semi to out-brake a sport-bike G00se 09-27-2007, 11:54 AM That crash was crazy. Whats crazy is if you look at the bumper on the truck its bent. It takes alot of force to bend semi bumpers. He must have been doing over 120 considering the truck was probably at least doing 55. Another thing thats crazy is how the helmet got wedged in there. If you look at one of the pics the strap from the helmet is chocking is neck and the helmet is 1/4 of the way off his head. I really wonder if it was the impact that killed him or asphyxiation caused by the helmet strap and being dragged down the highway. What a horrible death if it was the latter. he probably planned on coming around the truck but waited too long and didn't realize how fast he really was going and didn't have enough time get around the truck. The bigger object on the highway usually wins. We are pretty much the smallest motorists on the road so be safe! | |
