Just out of curiosity I thought I'd do a search for TOOL in the off topic section not expecting to find any fans here and wow, there's a bunch of you. A couple even sound as big a fan as me (favorite band).

Thought I'd start a new topic.

Has anyone seen them the 10,000 days tour? I've seen them 3 times on this tour and twice on the Lateralus tour. Sadly I never got the pleasure of seeing them back in the mid 90's on the Aenima tour. I would have only been about 15 then and hadn't yet discovered them.

While not a superfan, I'm a tool fan. I'm kind of a late bloomer Tool fan. There were always songs of theirs that i liked, but didn't start to really get into them until about 3-4 years ago. I wanted to see them last year, but I missed out on getting tickets, twice! suck.

I did see Volto play at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood about two months ago. Not really as cool as Tool tho...

I know this is slightly off topic (hey, they're both LA bands and have collaborated with each other), but did anyone see the Rage Against the Machine reunion show at Coachella? OUTRAGEOUSLY intense!

TOOL...ahhh...I remember seeing them for my first time in 1993...I was 16. They've been at the top of my fav list every since. So you know...they've not changed a bit. Sure, they've grown musically, and their direction is a little different. But they're still the same TOOL I saw for the first time 14 years ago...

Big TOOL fan here...no pun intended.

I would have loved to see Rage at Coachella. I heard it was amazing. Was that the show that Tom Morello came on stage with Tool and did a guitar solo in the middle of Lateralus?

I think that was the year before when Tool was the headliner

Rage Coachella concert intro - Testify (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfhJV9FZGAk)

2nd song - Bulls on Parade (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Qkyq9nYdwA)

Coachella Finale - Killing in the Name (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAEMdFhqh8k)

I was soo dehydrated by the time Rage came on. I was tryin to mosh, but I got a bad stomach cramp :? I also lost my wallet during the show... oh well, good times.

This is awesome! A Tool thread on a motorcycle message board. They've been my favorite band since I was a freshman in highschool (2000), and I just saw them live in St. Louis for the first time in June.

Hey, MotoGPfan, you are sooooo lucky to have seen them back then! you wouldn't happen to remember the setlist would you?

I had tickets in hand, I tell you! I came to the box office on the day the tickets went on sale and got them. And then someone (I don't like pointing fingers at myself) decides that the concert date would be a good time to go on a cruise, so I sold them. It was painful.

I love Tool. Aenima is one of my favorite albums of all time.

Aenima is also one of my fav albums, if not my fav of any band. Something about it.

I've always really liked undertow.

Of course all the albums are great but I've always thought it was underrated.

Tool is the only band that I'd really like to see these days I've seen basically all the bands that I like besides ones that are no longer touring or no longer with us.

I have seen APC but its not the same as tool. The whole time Maynard wouldn't come out from behind this curtain and so all you could see was his silhouette and that he was dressed in drag.

Wait... :banghead How could I mix them up?! When I said "Aenima" was my favorite album, I was really talking about "Undertow".

Both of those albums are great. Aenima is still my fav. A lot claim Lateralus is their best musically but I have a harder time getting into it as much as the others. Don't get me wrong though, Tool is Tool.

I saw A Perfect Circle as well and I agree, not the same.

The 10,000 tour has been really good. My only complaint it not hearing any different songs from concert to concert on the tour but I guess you can't expect a band to switch it up that much when you play a 100 shows. I did get a chance to see them play Flood from the Undertow album at the last show in July. That was a nice treat.
