I have a clear visor that came with my Shoei. I've been thinking about getting a reflective one, but I guess they don't work well at night.

A tinted or mirrored visor at night is pretty much like wearing sunglasses at night. Shoei's make it very easy to swap them out though. So I've got my tinted visor for day rides, and my clear one for nights.

I must confess, since I got the tinted visor I feel a lot less cool when using the clear one. Something about looking over at someone and knowing they can't see you.... 8) Well, you know what I mean...

I just got a reflective one for my Shark. They are the easiest to pop on and off i've ever seen. It's great for my commuting as often i found myself squinting into the morning sun. I still have my clear one if i ever know i'll be riding at night, but haven't used it in quite a while.

Clear and dark tint. I switch 'em daily and, like JMD, I use a Shark which is extremely easy to swap.

Wanted to get a reflective but was warned that they have no anti-fog and thus can be pretty shitty in the wrong conditions.

I've got a daytime helmet with a dark tinted shield. And a nighttime helmet with a clear shield. I've been caught in the dark with my daytime helmet on and couldn't see worth a $h!t. I had to ride home with the visor up.

Mirror during the day - clear at night.

I like to wear sunglasses underneath a clear visor. That way when I come to a stop and lift my visor up, my eyes are not met with a stinging blast of sunlight. 8)

... However, I think I'm gonna buy a dark tinted one to use every now and then just cuz they look cool.

I want to get a fancy freaked-out mirrored one for my older white Nolan. I'm gonna get the Japanese Naval battle flag from WW2 put on the back of it real big. You know, since it's a Honda. I've got little Italian flag screws on the license plate, though, since it's a 599 and all.

I've got a clear and a mirrored visor for my HJC. The mirrored shield cuts glare and looks cool, but you get a little reflection on the inside that is annoying until you get used to it.

A clear shield with sunglasses allow you to open your shield on a hot day and still have some eye protection. The problem is finding sunglasses that fit inside.
