I know this might be sacrilege, but am I the only one who wants one? I just think this thing would be fun as hell to ride and a great commuter :ride . I don't know how much MPG this new one gets but I know the previous Ninja 250's got like 70 MPG! And with an MSRP of $3,499 it would also be a nice backup bike to ride around on in case something happens with your Hornet (mine's been outa commission for 3 weeks!!! :banghead ).
Now I'm not sayin I plan on buying one anytime soon, but I think a used one in a couple of years sounds pretty appealing.

alright, you know what? after looking at some pix of the new 600RR I've realized that there's no point messin around with somethin like the 250 (assuming you're someone who can afford a 600RR and are already an experienced rider). Although this still would be fun to ride and be a great beginner bike, the amount of money spent, even for a used 250, would still be better being put towards the cost of something like the '07 600RR.
I'm really not sure about the "graffiti" graphics, but the color and tone is badass

The 250R? I'd hit it.
I, too, think it would be a fun substitute for a scooter. As i've never been a scooter person, i'd love to see my wife on something like that. It'd be fun, a little easier and safer for her to learn on, and i wouldn't mind being seen with it...or even hopping on it every now and then. 8)

Yeah, although it appears that I've seemingly repented my desire for a 250R, I do still think it would be a cool lil bike to have. I probably would buy one if i had an income anywhere close to being "disposable."

I think it reminds me of the fun I had learning on the 250's in the MSF course. :ride

I really like the 250R to pair with my Hornet 250. Probably will wait a year or so to get it used tho.

I really want a Ninja 250. I'm happy with the changes for 08 but I wish they went a little further with a new motor and EFI.
There's nothing wrong with carbs but since the carbs are so small on that bike that if you don't ride it every week they get gumed up. At least that's what I read on the 250 forums.
I was thinking about looking for a used 08 next year if I can find one.

I'm actually thinking of asking Santa for a blue 250R for Christmas.
I only have 2000 miles on my 599 and am still kind of iffy on it.
At times I feel that it is the boss. Lots of adrenalin moments.
But I'm keeping it for sure.
I had to give up my first bike (Honda Rebel) after only 600 miles because it got run over when it was parked.
I wasn't done with my learning on it yet.
I think if I had the Ninja I would be able to wring it's neck and take more chances (in a good way) which would help me develop as a rider.
I think I would feel like the boss on the Ninja.
Also, I think it looks great.

 Someone ran your Rebel over!? yikes! poor bike, what an unfortunate fate.
Building confidence in your riding skills with a 250R isn't a bad idea at all. You definitely want to feel completely in control and be free of bike nervousness so you can focus on avoiding dangers in traffic, ESPECIALLY here in LA! :?
If you do get a blue one, will you have the Batgirl suit to go with it? :D
I've still a bit to go with my Batman suit... haha
