So this summer I finally went to the City Hall and other government buildings and made my photography and design business official. Even got a business tax id and everything! My hopes are to become a successful wedding photographer and award winning wedding album designer in the next couple of years. We'll see how that goes.

A few months later, I got around to my website and here's the result:
http://www.door51.com

As far as album design goes, I recenlty finished designing my own wedding album. Luckily for me, I had great images to work with. I did pay dearly for them, though, I tell you that much. But yeah, here's the album:

Let me know what you think.

Well, the chick looks hot. But where's the 599? Just teasing. You've got skills, man. For real, I thought you did a nice job. I bet you'd charge someone a buttload if they sent you their wedding photos and wanted something similar made. If I was still married, and had some photos...

I'm certainly not cheap. It took me at least 80 hours to put that album together. Granted, I'm working with pictures of me, and I'm a picky bastard, but still. If I had to guesstimate, (I still didn't come up with all the packages and prices), but I would charge 2K or so to produce an album like this. My clients will get a professionaly made flush mount magazine style album. (I outsource the printing and album production.)

I bet you'd charge someone a buttload if they sent you their wedding photos and wanted something similar made.

Hehehe, completely none of my business, but how much did those live doves cost? I'm just extremely curious!

I didn't have live doves at my wedding, so I wouldn't know. But as far as I remember, the doves that my friend and his wife released were a gift to them from some uncle or other. I'm sure you can find that type of info online though.

Looks great Alex, you've surely got the skills. It's the managing the business part that gets tricky. Best of luck.

I always thought it'd be cool to be a freelance photographer. I'd submit my photos to news publications like the Daily Bugle. Of course, that's after I had been bitten by a radioactive spider which gave me amazing superhuman abilities...

Oh yeah, man, all those photos look great. Hope the best for you in your new business venture.
