Let's assume for the sake of this poll that Honda was going to bring the '07 Hornet 600 over here to the States. Would you buy one?

It just doesn't do anything for me...but then again, I think the 599 is purrrdy, so what do I know about looks? :lol:

Especially that big "$" on it's price tag...reeeealy doesn't do anything for me.

I have issues with the headlight fairing and the binnacle around the gauge cluster. I like the rear end better than the very front. The exhaust is pretty nice. And at least they didn't mess with the tank.

Then again, I'm not finished with my '06, yet... 8)

From the looks of it, the '08 919 looks a lot more appealing. If they bring that over, it might be my next bike.

I still have mixed feelings about the '07 Hornet 600. Like some people have said already, the front end isn't the most attractive. But on paper this thing seems pretty sweet: Aluminum frame, lighter and more powerful engine [102HP] (the '07 CBR600RR has what some think is the best 600 motor ever built), mass centralization, all combining for a reduced dry weight of 380lbs.

Nah, they are going the wrong way in my opinion. I like the retro meets modern look of the 06 and particularly the 04 (with the analog guages).

The front end is just ugly on the 07, IMO. Looks more like a mantis than a hornet. Strap a round headlight and gauges on it and I am in.

The technical upgrades sound awesome - too bad they couldn't keep the sexy look of the 04-06 (and I mention those years because they were the only years they brought them to Canaduh).

On the 07 I dislike the look of the 'nose', the exhaust can is FUGLY, and I'm not a fan of the 'split' in the tail, either. Booo. ;)

The first time I saw a picture of the new 2007 Hornet, I ran out and bought a 2006 599. I've always wanted a brand-new Hornet and I knew if I waited until I could actually afford one (like in 2008), I'd have to buy an ugly one. For real! I mean it. Not joking. I'm serious.

Jen... very nice touch. Gotta love Ren and the boyz. LOL. No 07 for me. Looks too much "like everything else out there," you know what I mean?

The tech is appealing, but I just can't get past the look.
For the $$$ I'd just buy an RR like everybody else....or maybe the street triple.

C'mon horneteers! Use your friggin imaginations!! As much money
as we have all spent on accessories and mods to better and spice up
our "perfect" 04-06s, do you really think an 07 would just remain stock?
How many of us would hop on the bandwagon only after seeing how
tricked out and sexy the Brits can make their Hornets?
Hell yeah, I'd buy an '07 and not to the dismissal of my '04!! And just
like my 04 i would try to make my 07 a lil different than the next persons.
Yeah the styling is diff, but i'm just not of the mindset that the bike is
horrifically ugly and the bane of the Honda line. IMO it still looks better
than Ninjas, Katanas, and the like.
BTW the Hornet 1000 is quite sexy!

The exhaust on the '07 is what makes it so "un-hornety" to me. Like someone else said, it kinda looks like everything else out there now.

So far, I just can't get into it. The middle looks good, the rear is... well... sort of acceptable, and the front is just ugly. I do like the mantis comparison.

If I didn't already have my '06, and the '07 was brought over then, well, I'd have to save up some more lunch money and buy the Interceptor instead.

Or buy a used '06.... 8)
