Apparently this guy put up posters like this to look like "Dog Missing" or "Dog For Sale" ones. I wish I'd thought of this!

It brought a smile to my face... now for the buzz-kill. It's been a crappy time recently. My dog Carrier was diagnosed with cancer... osteosarcoma. Good news, it hasn't spread... bad news, we have to amputate one of his front legs. He's actually under the knife right now. My wife is with him in Columbus at OSU... good peeps there.

Sorry to hear that mate
Good luck with everything... It always amazes me what good troopers dogs are, and how nothing fazes them... all will be cool

...last seen being awesome in my huge ass back yard which is where he is right now being awesome...

As big of a technical train wreck this snippet is, probably the most awesome thing I've read in awhile. (Currently chewing through Confessions of a Wallstreet Shoeshine Boy)

Sorry to hear about...you know...but he won't know he's not supposed to be "different"...and 3 legged dogs are 2x awesome as 1's that answer to the name of some Egyptian god :thumbsup

Best of luck Carrier, and Slide. Hope he heals up the way he should. On a side note, my cousin has a three legged cat named Napoleon (I call him tripod), and he gets around just fine! He acts no differently than any other cat- plays and everything! So hopefully, it won't phase your little guy too much.

My best friend way back in 8th grade had a three-legged dog. Sometimes he fell on his chin while jumping over ditches, but he always made it. And his three-legged dog was always right behind him jumping over them, too!

HAHAHA! Nice one!

Well, the surgery went well yesterday. He's got some tough days of recovery ahead of him but he should be home Sunday or Monday. It will nice to get my wife back too!

Dude, I feel your pain. I'd be a mess if anything happened to one of our dogs. Rudy's my bud.
One of my customers has a Golden Retriever that lost a front leg some time ago. (Jayke is 15 now and still gets around!)
Ang and I hope all goes well, and that Carrier has a speedy recovery.

Thanks.

Carrier is doing well. He is able to stand... it's a start! I am heading down to Columbus on Sunday to meet my wife and bring him back. The doctors are very happy with his progress in such a short time. I can't wait to see the fella!

Thanks Pepper.

It was a long day yesterday but I have my wife and Carrier back. I'm not going to make light of it.... it's pretty hardcore, the amputation. He is doing amazing though, he's able to hop short distances and has worked out the balance to do his #1 and #2. The doctors at OSU said his progress is excellent and we are very happy with the treatment he received there.

I'll post pics when it's not so graphic.
