Nice 8) If I had the means and the acreage, I'd build one of them tracks in my back yard.

That was flat-out awesome. Imagine how at-ease you would feel knowing you could manipulate a motorcycle like that. I know you can't control others out there, but knowing you got your shit THAT together would be a big help.

It's hard to believe how far you can tip a bike on a low speed tight turn. There's a really small roundabout on campus that I take sometimes, and one day I took it a little faster than I was ready for (still pretty slow, but it is a very small turning radius) and I tilted her over to something pretty close to what that guy was doing in the video. Exciting stuff, but I'm taking that stupid roundabout much slower next time.

All it takes is confidence and skill.

That's impressive! Hitting those corners so sharp at low speeds - I need to practice that.

Is it just me or is the bike at the very end, at the finish of the course, a CB of some sort?

OK, this is posted all the way back in '07 but I just watched it. Looks like a lot of fun, the rider never shifted out of 1st. How does one remember the course? Fun stuff!!

Man, that stuff is cool. That's always been more impressive than stunting to me.

Choco proves that it doesn't take speed but balance to drag your knee.

OK, OK, the Hornet 250 is lighter. Whatever, he can do it on a 900 too.

That might be something I keep in the wild card department for a freak purchase someday. Put a crash cage on it and get a bunch of those little cones and set up courses. It would be a lot of fun.

A lot of it is throttle control. I'm nowhere near the level of those riders, but I can touch the peg down in a u-turn. It took some practice, but basically I just go to a clean empty parking lot and do circles and figure-8s until I'm bored. Keep trying to go smaller and faster. I figured I'd have a cop harass me about 'stunting' but it hasn't happened yet. Which is good, I doubt they would believe that I don't even like wheelies.

Any cop worth their salt will know that their own guys do the exact same thing. There's a little painted course on one of the Paul Brown Stadium lots. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but the bike cops know it.

i used to work near the DMV, and on my way home from work i'd sometimes use their moto skills test area for practice to do u-turns/circles inside of the smaller painted circle and stuff...

Good luck finding a 'good cop' in FL. I've been rear ended at a stop light (on the 599) and the cop across the street looked the other way when the perpetrator ran. I've been chased and threatened with a knife by a guy in a truck that has yet to be found. My g/f's car got stolen, once it was found (stripped) the cops impounded it causing her license to be suspended. It was found in a guy's front yard, we have video evidence and a copy of his license from a scrap yard he tried to sell it to, yet they did not arrest him because he said that he bought the car. Finally I got a ticket for 66 in a 55, 300 yards past a 65mph speed limit sign when I actually passed the cop at ~50 after I slowed down and moved over for him because he was on the shoulder with all the lights off. It was dismissed, but I was 4 hrs from home which made the whole scenario a nightmare.

Sorry about the OT, the police work down here is a sore subject for me.

I've heard that too. That's why I don't do anything besides fish and drink beer when I'm in FL.
