It's actually a very weird and somewhat eerie circumstance in terms of how I found out about the news.

So back in August, I bought my 919 from this guy named John through craigslist. After coming to pick up the bike from him, he told me that he rode with an Asian biker group and to stay in touch. Since then I hadn't tried to contact him but had been meaning to do so.

So this past Saturday I went for a ride with some buddies and afterwards met a group of riders who were chillin out near a gas station. Their group is called SCAR (SoCal Asian Riders). Afterwards I checked out their website and found out that John, who was an organizer of the group, had past away in September; a little over a month after I had bought my bike from him. Apparently he was killed in a motorcycle accident on or near the freeway.

What is also a very weird coincidence is that the group members that I met this past Saturday were actually doing a Memorial Ride for him that day. He seemed like a cool guy and it's very unfortunate what happened.

That is bad news. Maybe he will come back to haunt you. If you see your bike doing strange things. It could be a ghost!

I've seen the SCAR guys (and SCAR hotties) out a few times and run across their postings online. That sounds like one of those destiny things that you decided to ride with them and it just so happened to be his memorial ride. Very interesting.

He drew you to them for another look at his old bike...

you know what's also really weird? I was looking at a tribute photo album they had on their website and there was a photo of him that had the words, "John Ng, A.K.A. Crazy"

"Crazy" is a nickname that i've used for myself on many occasions. I know "crazy" isn't the most uncommon nickname, but nonetheless it's still... crazy
