Ok, so I havent had a 'better half' during a holiday season for many years, about 5. I havent had to shop for female things in as many years. I dont know what to get her. Im at a loss. If you all could give me a little advice, thatd be great.

A little background on us. We've been together for 2 months by the time C-mas rolls around. I like her a lot but I dont want to send a 'lets get married now' signal if you know what I mean.

Girls or guys, any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Seriously bro, talk to her...just like you did here. I'm sure she is going thru the same issues. A card with something personal written in it goes a long ways. Then something with some thought behind it, like tickets to go see the local production of Wicked or something she'd be interested in - it's a bonus becuse you get to do it together (show's you want to spend time with her). You win all around because 1 it is probably something that no one has ever done with her (be open vunerable and honest) and 2 shows you are man and confident enough to express your insecurities and worries. It’s high level communication that involves the other person and exposed emotion. Not for nothing but she’ll bang your brains out that night and look at you all doey eyed there after. It'll be yours to F-up there after.

Or you can go with the Dick in the Box, it’s always good in a pinch, though I'd follow it up with The Shocker. A winning combo if there ever was one and you won’t need to worry about Valentines day...cause you’ll be single again. Not entirely a bad thing.

One thing that I've learned, listen to the little things they say, then WRITE IT DOWN! I know it sounds very cheesy, but a guys got to do what a guys got to do. Listen for things like "I really like this song," then write it down and eventually get her the CD. Or "Oooooh, I like this perfume!"

Luckily I have to keep a notepad with me at all times at work, so it's easy jot little stuff like that down while we're on the phone. It makes shopping this time of year MUCH easier.

Bingo.

Great advice so far. RND's idea for tickets to a show is very good too. This also depends on your budget and her expectations. Go to a mall together before the holidays and watch her. She will tell you what she likes.
