Not to sound like a wussy or a heretic, but has anyone here considered a can am spyder over the 599? It's obviously a more stable and therefore safer platform but the downside is it costs a lot more and you can't lean the damn thing although since I've rode a sled you do get used to leaning on it although the actual vehicle doesn't lean. Also, I know you can't lane split but since that's illegal here anyway it doesn't matter. 95% of my riding is on an interstate to and from work. Anyway, anyone have an opinion on this?

I think this has been discussed so check the searches.

Practically I think a roll over on one of those things would be worse than a low side on a bike.

That and it's just not cool. Could you imagne Fonzie getting off one of those things? Nope.

Get the 599!

James Dean rode a Triumph, too. The Fonz is way cooler, though.

The Spyder looks kind of neat, but if I had the money I'd buy the 400 CC version of the Piaggio MP3. 8)

It's certainly not a sexy 599, but it would be a lot of fun, I'd think. :P

Sorry Jen, even as a bit of a techno geek I can't see pulling up to the auto dealership I work in on a freakin SCOOTER! The fonz would roll over in his grave!!! I actually like the concept of the Piaggio and from what I read it is pretty stable and leanable although I think testing it's limits may be a bit strange. And did I mention it was a scooter, LOL. At this point I think I'm going to go with a 5 Nine Niner this spring and see what the used spyder market brings at some point. I just love the Niner's ergos and looks too much to miss out this season but we're under about 9 inches of snow now with another storm coming so I'll have to bum rides off of sleds if I wanna have some motorsports fun right now.

Hah! Well you were talking about a 3-wheeled vehicle that doesn't lean, so I thought I'd mention one that does. :)

I didn't realize you were a member of the First United Church of the Fonz and that 'scooters' and 'cool' should never be mentioned in the same sentence. :P

Hey, my old Honda Aero pops wheelies like nothin'.
I've had plenty of people ride it and come back with a grin on their face because it's a blast. :ride
Of course there is that saying about mopeds and fat chicks.
