<EDIT: rndthought added>
THE VIDEO ABOVE. IT IS VERY GRAPHIC - AS IN A PERSON AS A PHYSICAL BEING IS EVISCERATED. IT IS FROM A TRAFFIC CAMERA AND INVOLVES A MOTORCYCLE/MOPED BEING OVERTAKEN AND RUN OVER BY A TRUCK. NOTHING IS LEFT TO THE IMAGINATION.
THE LESSON IS: THREATS ARE 360, CHECK MIRRORS OFTEN.

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on that.
You know what's wierd... I had a dream last night that I had a red Ducati Monster (no idea why - I don't like red and I'm not a huge Ducati fan) and I wrecked the hell out of it. More than once. Now I'm afraid to go riding today.
rndthought 02-02-2008, 11:57 AM Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. At least it was quick. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
In case anybody has doubts... VERY GRAPHIC.

JHenley17 02-02-2008, 12:12 PM I think I'm going to pass on this one... and I definitely won't bother sharing with my mother...
rndthought 02-02-2008, 12:14 PM Smart. It reminded me of the first time I went to Rotten.com
Opticycler 02-02-2008, 02:21 PM When I was a teenager, my buddy and I heard of this video called "Faces of Death". We looked all over, and finally found a store that had it for rent. We watched it. I never had a video freak me out like that. I wished I'd never watched it. :(
Fast forward to Feb.2,2008. I see this link on a motorcycle forum that says "Very graphic video". I have my finger poised to click. I pause. I have a flashback of my Faces of death experience. Then I click anyway. Wished I didn't.
Just a short time later, I see a post that mentions a site called "Rotten.com". I look it up. I pause. I look anyway. Wished I didn't.
:banghead
No more for me.
djamalt 02-02-2008, 03:16 PM I'm so glad I had already ridden today. This would have kept me in. And I don't consider myself squeamish at all. I was on the phone with my brother who was excited about getting his first moto jacked (first bike to come this spring - not a 599 sadly) and all I kept thinking about was what if that was him, or anyone I knew, or even me in the video... Freaked me out.
For future posts, can we work a little harder to make a distinction between graphic (which leads most - I should think - to expect an arm broken, a leg snapped, a grizzly bear chewing on a leg) and very graphic w/ a tragic end (which I think would prepare one for... well, carnage).
rndthought 02-02-2008, 03:59 PM DJ... will do. I changed the title so that it was all cap with "<<< >>>"
Obviously not enough.
ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS NOT SEEN THE VIDEO ABOVE. IT IS VERY GRAPHIC AS IN A PERSON AS A PHYSICAL BEING IS EVISCERATED. IT IS FROM A TRAFFIC CAMERA AND INVOLVES A MOTORCYCLE/MOPED BEING OVERTAKEN AND RUN OVER BY A TRUCK. NOTHING IS LEFT TO THE IMAGINATION.
JohnG 02-02-2008, 06:14 PM Well,
The title said 'Vey Graphic'. Let's all be careful out there.
robkb 02-02-2008, 07:28 PM I watched it several times. :barf You KNOW what that white dot is behind the truck!
Billy from Philly 02-03-2008, 09:01 AM I watched lots of motorcycle accident videos on You Tube just to see what I would do in one of those situations, kind of training films. I noticed that in almost every case the motorcycle was going to fast for conditions but in this case the motorcycle was not keeping up with traffic, a real eye opener. I have learned from the videos:
1. On the open road go a little faster than traffic to keep everything ahead of you.
2. Stay away from trucks, put some distance between them and you.
3. Keep out of blind spots.
4. Stay close to emergency lanes for a place to go if needed. Many times I have pulled into the emergency lane in a fast stop situation, even if it was not needed.
All the very best to everyone, I greatly enjoy our little chats here, be safe.

The sniper shot was :barf :barf :barf :barf
rndthought 02-03-2008, 12:51 PM The first thing I ever saw on Rotten... some motorcycle dude who was sitting in the E-room. No helmet and he went face first to the pavement. All he had for a mouth was a hole, total lower jaw removal.
Super Sneaky Steve 02-04-2008, 05:29 AM After reading these posts I really want to see that video now! But I think I'll wait till after work.

Oh forgot the point I was trying to make. While graphic and disturbing, it did serve a purpose. I've never gone for a ride w/o a helmet since. If I even think about it, that image flashes in my mind and I remember my gut reaction from when I first saw it...I’d rather be dead. And that really made me feel guilty for the chances I take and bad for they guy in the pic.
G00se 02-04-2008, 02:29 PM and SSS's sig was offensive.....
Not that i'm offended by this clip... Some things just don't make sense.

Ok, I clicked on it. Big Mistake. Now...is there a way I can unclick on it?

rndthought 02-04-2008, 04:30 PM It's like Pandora's Box...
Super Sneaky Steve 02-06-2008, 05:40 AM Hey, we don't know for sure that he died. Maybe he's ok.
This gives me an idea for a new slogan. All gear all the time, except when you get hit by a truck cuz then you're screwed anyway.
robkb 02-10-2008, 08:59 PM That would never happen on a fat girl.
Adamizme 02-28-2008, 02:00 PM This guy was split in two by the wheels of the truck! I did the same thing to an owl once with my car... a wing went one way and the rest went another... It's never pretty.

Same here. That was one of the first things I had ever seen on Rotten.com. That exact pic was the reason I waited until I was 25 years old to get a bike.
n2citrus 03-19-2008, 12:16 PM That will give me nightmares for months! The truck driver obviously did not see him...really makes me want to avoid trucks that much more, and really keep an eye on my mirrors.

cannon 03-19-2008, 01:04 PM I wisely skipped it here, but looked over at the person next to me at work just in time to see the whole thing. :x
You cannot unsee what has been seen.
How did the trucker not see him?!?
I shall avoid clicking this link. Just reading your comments is starting to make me ill. :?
VooDooYouDo 03-19-2008, 04:24 PM That would never happen on a fat girl.
Hahaha, Awesome.
Speaking of that, I just sold my moped.

Agreed. I got the shivers just thinking about the no-helmet ER picture. Sometimes, you just wear the gear because your imagination is enough...
hondagirl 03-19-2008, 05:51 PM Darn, I thought you meant it was dirty-
It won't load up for me, so I will take that as a hint!
robkb 04-16-2008, 09:38 PM Ranover (http://share.youthwant.com.tw/sh.php?id=23003335)
Eeewwww!!!! Remember this? CLICK IT!!
robkb 09-13-2008, 01:35 AM I watched this sick sh!t again.
Hey, we don't know for sure that he died. Maybe he's ok.
After looking at it a few more times, you might be right. I can't read the Chinese, but it might say, "Always wear gear for safe ride!"
