So after many many months of searching, and before that many many months(since 2004 actually) of dreaming, I've finally bought one of my own!!!

It all started last summer when a buddy of mine and I got our licenses, he really wasn't sure what bike to buy, yet had the money. And I new EXACTLY what bike to buy but had NO money. So convincing him to buy a 599 for a first bike was real easy, and like the rest of us, he fell in love with it upon site. Also, being the coolest friend a guy could have, he'd let me borrow it whenever he wasn't on it. In exchange I'd perform any needed servicing(on the bike :) ) Great deal! However, in the end, it was still HIS bike. I couldn't come home from work on any given day, walk into the garage, pop open a cold one and just polish it(it's barley 5 deg F here now, so riding is out of the question). But alas this afternoon I took the plunge! I found a 2004 with 10 000Km on it that belonged to a very cute little woman expecting little ones soon, that no longer had the need for the bike(yeah I don't get it either?!?). So thursday I'm bringing it to a better home, one where it will be treated like a king!

And so I guess introductions are in order since I'm now officially one of you guys!

My name is Androo, and I'm a 599'aholic.

Congratulations! Is it black, or yellow? Perhaps you would be interested / able to join the swarm in Eastern Ontario this year...great people, great ride, and always entertaining.

Black, you can count both myself and Garaty(above friend) in!

Indeed!! I think I'd travel to California for an excuse to do anything at this point to ride my bike. I was doing an interview at work the other day and someone had a reference from Vancouver and the first thought that came into my mind was, "I wonder how long it would take me to ride there?"

Obviously my obsession for the 599 is getting into my life in the weirdest of places. Ontario? Heck, that's a snack! :) Count me in though. A swarm sounds absolutely perfect to me.

Grats, Invader, on the bike. Best purchase you've ever made.

Everybody together: HI ANDROOO!

I just got my bike last week. My "little ones" are teenagers and my job is stressful, so my commute is now the best part of my day. We have two cars, so the kids get the cars and I don't have to give nobody rides. The woman who sold you the bike was crazy. If she has babies, there's even more reason to escape for a ride occasionally!

New Mexico was frigidly cold last week, wonderfully warm this week, and supposed to snow tomorrow night. I am looking forward to Spring!
