Anybody else here from New Mexico? I've seen one other 599 in albuquerque, but wondering if there are others. It would be fun to go for a ride, but also I want advice about mechanics.

JillGat 02-15-2008, 07:21 AM No, Robkb, my bike does not have gold forks. I copied that picture from somewhere. I kinda like them, though. Did they ever come stock? I guess this means there's nobody here from New Mexico; just people who wish they were. G00se 02-15-2008, 07:26 AM They only come in gold in Europe. JillGat 02-16-2008, 12:01 AM Why would the gold forks only be on the European bikes? Now, no guessing here. Does anybody know why? cybil hamartia 02-16-2008, 02:01 PM Why would the gold forks only be on the European bikes? Now, no guessing here. Now, no guessing here. Does anybody know why? I can't say for sure, so yeah, it's technically a guess. I'd suggest it has something to do with manufacturers being more conservative with what they send to the USA due to the US market being illogical and unpredictable? Also, due to the bikes long run (since '98?) in europe, little things like this can be used to spark interest in a new model year bike. (think "bold new graphics!!!" :)) | |
