Very cool but I wonder how it affects the flex of the tire, additional weight, etc. Maybe on a car I'd use that but tires on a bike I get nervous of mucking with them. Tires are such an important part of the bike

Anyone ever see the guys who race sport bikes on ice in the midwest? I think they treat the tires with something like that and drill screws into them to make sport bike ice knobby tires. I could be wrong though. Still, pretty interesting stuff.

They have something similar for bicycle tires, works well but is a bit heavier...

I've seen spiked tires, but I don't think I've ever seen people with screws in them...

I used to tread a friend's dirt bike tires with hex screws for ice traction. The screws themselves have a lot of bite but aren't very long. They screw right into the knobby treads without actually penetrating into the tire itself.
