Tires are such an important part of the bike But very cool nonetheless. Especially the drill and screw, no bubbles. djamalt 03-23-2008, 10:46 PM Anyone ever see the guys who race sport bikes on ice in the midwest? I think they treat the tires with something like that and drill screws into them to make sport bike ice knobby tires. I could be wrong though. Still, pretty interesting stuff. rndthought 03-24-2008, 03:41 PM They have something similar for bicycle tires, works well but is a bit heavier... JHenley17 03-24-2008, 06:37 PM I've seen spiked tires, but I don't think I've ever seen people with screws in them... God, I need this stuff for my truck. I had three flats last week alone and about 10 or 11 since I started driving just over four years ago. I need to invest in a hydraulic jack... I used to tread a friend's dirt bike tires with hex screws for ice traction. The screws themselves have a lot of bite but aren't very long. They screw right into the knobby treads without actually penetrating into the tire itself. | |
