So what does the little cable helmet thing from the tool kit do??? I don't have my owners manual yet and I don't see it in the service manual. I know its for a helmet since I found it in a parts diagram.

Look underneath the seat on the left side of the frame rail. It hooks onto that little piece of wire for a helmet lock.

OK, I have one more question for you guys. I'm getting ready to take my driving test on the bike so I was practicing slow speed u-turns and I found that the bike lopes at idle in 1st gear like a built big block chevy. Is this normal?

Yup, normal.

Better off going to 2nd and slipping the clutch...

1st is really just to get moving from dead stop.

I do it in first just riding the clutch. I give just enough throttle to keep it steady. Maybe second works better, though.
