Back in the beginning of April, my friend was video-taping when I came around this corner on the Angeles Crest Highway and dragged my knee for the 1st time, but unfortunately, he never posted that video.

He did, however, post this video of me kneedragging for the 2nd time ever, recorded a few minutes after the aforementioned run. The initial loud scraping sound is actually the peg feeler, but you can hear the kneesliders against the pavement soon after that, about 6 seconds into the video:

Kneedragging and scraping peg feelers (I've since removed those pesky things!) :

Corner speed slowed a little, so not leaning as much at this point:

Gave it a little bit of throttle, and now kneedragging again:

I do realize that kneedragging on the street is generally not safe practice, but I gotta say, the feeling and sound of the knee-puck sliding against the asphalt is a pretty badass feeling!

But yeah, I do intend to take it to the track soon.

:banana BONUS! :banana

Here's another vid shot on Mulholland Highway. I'm not kneedragging here, but it's kinda cool:

Love the video!

Yeah, you should probably take it to the track - at least that would allow you to practice the knee stuff as safe as you want.

How long have you been riding anyway?

Funny thing is, you dont' have to go fast to drag a knee or scrape a peg. Lots of vids on youtube of guys doing it at like 20 mph. Although, being there for the first video he posted (if you pause it, you can see me standing on the other side of the road - LOL), I can attest he's going at least 55 around that corner. Angeles crest proves very solid, clean, smooth pavement with lots of fast turns. Hell, now I want to get back out there!

Though I've never dragged a peg (just my toe hanging too far off or reaching down for a shift), I find that it feels more stable at higher speeds, so I'm more comfortable leaning it over in sweepers, which is mostly what we have here.

Come on down!!! It's just a short 5 hour ride!!! It's just the cagers you'll need to worry about.

Well, I started riding cruisers a little over six years ago and last summer I got the 919.

Or a short 8 hour ride if you take the scenic, twisty route down Highway 1 through Big Sur!

I could not help but notice the lack of a guard rail in those pics! Hmmmm...rail, or cliff. Tough call! LOL!!!
