so, last week, i bid on two pairs of oxtar boots on ebay. and in the seven days that followed... no one outbid me on either pair! so i am now the proud owner of two separate pairs of oxtar motorcycling boots.
one is the oxtar tcs sport, in a 45 (11.5); the other is the oxtar ss performance, in a 46 (12) (NOT performance 2, JUST performace. there is a difference).
the tcs sport is definitely the better of the two. it retails for $230 and has some nice features, like venting that works and the oxtar Torsion Control System. and luckily for me, it fits me very well. it is the pair i will be keeping. i havent ridden with them, but when i do ill let you know just how great they are. heres the webbikeworld review (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-boots/oxtar/).
that being said, i now have for sale a pair of oxtar performance ss boots! like i said, they are a 46 (12) and are true to size. i am an 11.5 and these are too big. this is a fairly wide boot (one of the reasons i wanted Oxtar, i have wide feet). they are brand new. all black, with a silver toe slider. i would not recommend them for the track, though, because the ankle protection is a little lacking- they do not have the TCS. they do have a good heel cup, thick leather, high quality stitching, and a flex-resistant sole. all in all, a dang good boot for street riding, especially because its not all goofy and weird looking.
boots are $110, and retail for $170. i will eat the shipping. yes, i am losing money in this from the ebay transaction, but not too much. and considering i got the $230 pair for $145, i am not complaining!
first pm gets it. if you want pics, let me know. i dont feel like uploading right now. here is a stock photo (http://www.diseno-art.com/encyclopedia/vehicles/road/bikes/boots/Oxtar_SS_Performance.html).
whew. longest post ive ever posted for sure!
