Got this from the link about the rider fleeing the police. That one got too dull too quick.
It may not be cool, but I want one. Then again, pain really isn't that cool and I still want one.

Somehow, I'm not convinced it helped him. I guess it protects you from breaking your neck?

I might be willing to put some on that one.... I have a hunch that while in the design phase, all the guys in the shop went out for a happy hour and after a few brews, the discussion of who would test it came up, and one drunk/brave/stupid guy finally said "I'll do it!"
I don't think I could lowside a bike on purpose even if I was getting paid. It just goes against everything I've learned about how to ride!

It would take a lot for me to do it, but I guess it would be easy enough to just close my eyes and get a handful of brake right then...
Unless I had a very treacherous daily ride, I don't think I'd bother with it on the street, but it could help in high-speed crashes at the track. It looks like it would be as good as a HANS device, but still allows the rider freedom of movement until an emergency arises.

Well, lets see... NOT his ankles, NOT his shins, NOT his knees, NOT his legs, NOT his hips, NOT his pelvis, NOT his internal organs, NOT his spine, NOT his hands, NOT his wrists, NOT his elbows, NOT his arms, honestly doesn’t' look too supportive of the neck...
In fact after watching is 3 times... I find it hard to identify anything it protected. The shoulder maybe...
AND even in a controlled smooth surface relatively slow speed demo, I'll bet this guy DIDN'T just pop off to the pub afterward feeling like his old self.
